I don't get this moaning over his celebration (or lack of). Footballers can obviously support teams other than the one they're playing for. Provided they are nothing but professional for the club that pays their wages, which Leigh obviously is, there's no issue imo. Most players/managers are able to separate any personal emotions with their professional duty - for example, Lennon is as big a Celtic fan as they come but his Hibs team have given us some of the hardest games we've faced this season.

Gutted that he's injured, he's clearly our top striker at the moment.

I cgaf whether he celebrates or not as long as he puts the ball in the opposition net.

He is a genuine out and out Hibs fan who plays for Celtic - It is no big deal ffs.

If Griffiths ever plays for another Scottish club after his time at Celtic, you can probably imagine he would act the same way if he scored against us.

Really can't believe people are talking about LGs celebration....FFS - i'm pleased to see it related back to Henke with Barca...he's a feckin hibs fan and has played with them - i totally get no celebration....more gutted at his injury as looking at the nick of dembele - i'm sh*t scared of what may lie ahead....
Aye, that Dembele is pure pish man, we're fecked now.
He was certainly pure pish yesterday. I share the concern.
Your concern is that he is "pure pish" or that he will remain "pure pish" or was just "pure pish" yesterday ? We know what he's capable of, he's not match fit and that's the concern right now as we've had opportunities to get him up to speed but for whatever reason we didn't take that opportunity.

Thursday can't come quick enough then we'll know one way or the other if we should really be concerned.

no problem with him not going wild after scoring...grew up a hibs fan and spent time playing there..FFS he kisses the celtic badge every other goal he scores and has always maintained he wants to stay at celtic as long as possible whether under ronny or brendan. some people are never happy

Like Griffiths but his mourner at a funeral persona when he scores against Hibs is bollocks. He's not earned the right to be talked of in terms of Larsson or Law.

We got away with the Forwards situation last time round but three Strikers is the minimum requirement for a squad with such little summer downtime, we can't even fill the no.10 spot yet some are convinced we would only need two Centre Forwards on our books and can comfortably deputise wingers or midfielders into leading the line. We don't have utility players in the way that some believe.

Nobody at the game was talking about it.

Some people were.

If he did though and celebrated like Craig Beattie and Scott MacDonald when they scored against us he would get criticised as well by the very people criticising him for not celebrating on Saturday!

Beattie :twitch: Thanks for reminding me of that.

Charlie Nic and Billy Stark have celebrated goals aginst us, ICGAF tbh.

3 more goals and Griff will be the 1st Scottish player to score 100 goals for Celtic since Champagne Charlie.
