No its not
It's a strange person who laughs at their own - less than stellar, let's be honest - patter.

I don't know any Celtic fan who would go 'effing wild' were they to score against Celtic. Very strange behaviour indeed imo.
If i was lucky enough to have made it as a pro footballer, i'd have celebrated every goal i scored whether it was a 30 yard screamer or a 1 yard tap in, regardless of who i scored against.
Scoring a goal is a joyous thing. Its what the game is all about and it should be celebrated.

As long as he's scoring I couldn't care less if he's celebrating or not. Hopefully he's back out and scoring again soon.

Nobody at the game was talking about it.

Don't personally mind if a player celebrates or not. That whole "putting your hands up in apology" move is cringe central, though.

Can't believe this is a thing ffs. He scored and still celebrated with his teammates. Did you want him to knee slide into the Hibs fans sacrificing the one of the Proclaimers?
if only ;)

Not so much the not celebrating that annoyed me. It was the apology to the Hibs fans for scoring.

Seven games without a goal. Hardly inspiring form at the moment.

He was certainly pure pish yesterday. I share the concern.

When you see how upset he was at himself for sclaffing an earlier chance you can see he was desperate to score. At the goal he just happened to be facing the Hibs fans afterwards and probably had the same reaction we would have if we just scored against Celtic.

A lot of players are just loyal to who pays their wages. Some players are genuinely big fans of their club.

Celtic own the Griffiths' registration. The fans don't own his emotions.

Are the people moaning about Griffiths not celebrating the same people who supposedly don’t celebrate when he scores?

I think the no celebrating lark is nonsense. If i was talented enough to play the game professionaly and scored against Celtic I'd go effing wild. I've said it before Griffiths did it today that it shows a lack of respect to the club who pays you and fans who cheer you. As for Larsson I wouldn't have minded if he celebrated but it was more understandable that he didn't because he had just left us after seven years at the club. It was also more of a rare occurance back then rather than players having a list of teams they won't celebrate against.
It was not the fact that he didn’t celebrate, it was that he made a gesture of apology to the visiting fans. 2 entirely different things IMO.

The equivalence isn’t about Henrik scoring against us and not celebrating. However, can you imagine the outrage on here if Kris Boyd had made the same gesture to the Huns fans when scoring twice back in December? He would have been called for everything and again, IMO, deservedly so.

It obviously splits opinions, as was obvious from the match thread yesterday.

Anyway, I hope he recovers soon as is back to celebrating.

I would have just been happy he scored against the Huns.

I wonder if there's an element of superiority about it from Celtic fans. He's our player, we're Celtic. Does he not realise we pay his wages?, we're the bigger club etc.

CGAF what happens after he scores. The fact that he scored yesterday made the difference between one point and three points.
