Ha!

If Griffiths becomes good enough that EPL teams want him then he’ll be off as quick as every other carrot.

No one else wanting him does not equal him not wanting to leave.
Wrong and wrong again

As for this thread, comparisons with ex-players is a waste of bandwidth. What’s important is that Griffiths scores goals and generally makes Celtic a better team when he’s involved.

All things considered I’d prefer to have Griffiths and £20m of Dembele money available to strengthen the first team than having to rely on Moussa with the £6-7m we’d get for Griffiths. Whether we’d actually reinvest much/anything is another issue altogether.
What’s wrong, mate?

Linfield, Astana, Be'er Sheva.

PSG, Man City, Gladbach.

etc.

Jesus effing christ. Digging that hole?
I’ve always said that I would play Dembele ahead of Griffiths, however Griffiths would find it hard to score against the likes of PSG,Man City and BMG when he wasn’t playing. You might not rate the 2 goals he scored against Be’er Sheva, however these got us in the CL being worth millions to us and certainly worth more than Dembele’s goal in a 7-1 defeat v PSG.
Dembele's last minute penalty winner against Astana and scoring the 4th of 5 goals in our 5-2 home win v Hapoel, back in August 2016, were also pivotal in the qualifying rounds.

Do you think the team is better when Griffiths is playing as opposed to Dembele?
At the moment it seems to be
Looked that way vs Hearts.

I think there is a correlation between us playing good football and Moussa Dembele being in the team. There wasn't many changes from Deila's last season to Rodgers first in the team but the most obvious one was having a striker who wasn't greedy and wasteful in possession. One who could bring other players into the game and hold the ball up well.

I think Dembele being out of the team through injury etc is probably more important than Rogic and Roberts to how we play.

Our best performances IMO this season were against Aberdeen away and Bayern at home. Dembele was brilliant in both.

EDIT - also Anderlecht away and I thought Griffiths played well in that game.

I’m sure most people would agree that when both are on form and fit dembele is far superior, but moussas out of sorts and griff was decent the other night. So griff should be starting for the time being.

We’ve gone thro a lot of our ex strikers who are better than Griffiths, which I mostly agree with, however most of the strikers named are in my opinion better than Dembele as well.I could go thro midfielders i’ve seen with Celtic better than the midfield we have today but it’s a pointless exercise.

Griffiths has scored more in Europe last two seasons than Dembélé but keep digging that hole . :brickwall:

Not sure what others think but for me this "can't celebrate a goal against Hibs" is total guff. I've even seen it described on the BBC that his gesture to the Hibs fans was an apology! Pathetic.

I actually thought he'd been bullied off the ball every time and had done next to nothing before he scored. A goal only Sinclair could have missed.

Don't care if he celebrates or not, scoring the goal is all that matters. Our play suffered after he went off, tempo and cohesion both dipped noticeably.

Well every time the ball went to his feet he lost it due to the CH taking it off of him.
