I think we should be all over these type of deals.
Always thought we should've gone for McGinn when OOC at St Mirren, before Hibs took him - a no brainer.
Always going to make some sort of profit & maybe pull a diamond out the mud.
£300k is nothing & he's been very well scouted.
Exactly. Should be hoovering up like Chelsea etc, but on a relative financial idea obviously. Loan them out to everyone and their dug in the top of League 1, bottom of Championship, etc. Least we'll do is make the money back.
Chelsea have something like 33 players out on loan! Three effin teams!

Juve have about 50, they've had more than that in previous seasons https://www.transfermarkt.com/juventus-turin/leihspieler/verein/506

Hopefully Morgan continues improving, maybe Johnston will go their on loan next season to replace him.

Must've started as an Italian thing. Remember being impressed with Killie taking a guy on loan from Udinese a few years ago, then found out they had a reserve squad of about 60 from every feckin place.

Bingo. We're getting the guy for eff all, loan him out for a season and a half and if he comes back ready to make the grade then happy days. If not we'll get back the little were paying for him.

This kind of thing is a big part of why football is becoming duller every year; every team that wants a UEFA license should have a strict limit on how many salaried positions they are allowed to offer each year. Otherwise you just end up with the fortunate few at the top of the table hoarding all the talent.

But those clubs can't keep them forever.
Guys like Pique & Pogba get let go, never mind Ntcham, Roberts & Edouard.

Dembele made his choice to focus on development with a club who would play him in the 1st team, others will do the same.

EDIT:
Morgan, Christie etc.. can justifiably see why coming to Celtic, even if they don't make it - is a good idea.
Mikey Johnston is getting games here...

This.

But whilst there are no rules/not as tight rules then we should be exploiting it, because if we're not then other teams will.

Different positions and times but his profile reminds me of the signing of Jackie McNamara from Dunfermline under burns.

Lewis Morgan's move from St Mirren to Celtic is expected to be finalised on Friday, according to Buddies boss Jack Ross.

The 21-year-old winger attended Ross Hall hospital in Glasgow on Thursday for a medical and is expected to sign for the Parkhead club before returning to the Championship leaders on loan for the rest of the season.

Ross says: "It has been well documented that he is finishing his medical about now.

"All being well with that, I think it will be confirmed (on Friday) at some stage.

"I am pleased for him in that respect but, until it is done officially, I don't think he nor I would want to say too much.

"But I think it is the worst kept secret in Scottish football at the moment.

"I am quite fortunate that I have a good relationship with Brendan (Rodgers) so from that side it has been good and obviously Tony Fitzpatrick in his role as chief executive here in his discussions with Peter (Lawwell, Celtic chief executive) has been good.

"It has allowed us to get to a situation which is ideal with us by having him back for the rest of the season. That was really important for us so I am delighted and grateful that that is the case."

Celtic will reportedly pay around a £300,000 fee for the Scotland Under-21 international, who has scored 13 goals of the Paisley side this season, including three in his last two games.

Aye. Regular for Scotland under 21s too. His looks betray the fact that he was quite a hard bassa.

Good luck son. Wonder how this goes with Christie as they seem very similar players. As I type that I'm thinking kouassi supposed to be going on loan cause he's too similar to broony
