Really wish it wasn't the case but it seems he's got to go. Still hoping he pulls a Brown and proves us unbelievably wrong, but it's no likely.
Mad bastard, one of my favourites since he came in. Phenomenal signing overall imo, and probably a celt for life

`Love the big mad basturt but i am sorry to say i think his time is up. I'd maybe keep him around for backup on a replacement RB, but definitely not a first choice.

When he got his first booking I'd hoped that BR would have subbed him at half time to prevent a second yellow against a tricky opponent. With it being a big game and Lustig an experienced leader in a young team I can see why BR kept him on though. That said, the foul for the second yellow was a crazy decision by Mika. WTF was he thinking.

Gives away stupid fouls, penalties & now a red card.
To have him as vice captain is poor judgment.
Bad example to the squad.
Starting to dislike him.
Punt.
What an absolutely pathetic post. :nono:

Horrible to watch a great servent to our club regress so quickly. Awful viewing.

Watching him slowly turning his body, so that he can get a pass off with his right foot. We can all see who it is going to get played too and the opposition are now targetting him as the weak link.

He's physically broken. He can barely run. Love him. Terrific signing. But he is absolutely done

Watched a bit of the game back. He actually played quite well. What he was doing for the second yellow is beyond me. No reason to dive in there.

it was a time that Aberdeen were starting to push more men forward and using brute force to try to manhandle the ball from us or put us under pressure in midfield. They had won a few fouls and we were looking like we were under pressure at one goal lead.

I think he felt a crunching tackle would prove that we were not going to roll over and let them get to full onslaught.

It was the wrong decision.

On his day - a beachball wearing star.
On a bad day - poor.

reminds me a little of the great Danny McGrain.
It was sad to see him at end of his career, still run down the wing but then foul someone in midfield as he did not have the speed to get back and cover the counterattack.

9/10 as a signing.
really been great but it appears we are seeing the end of his career for us.
Time to get behind him and give him the "second wind" till end of season and W.C.

He can't run, jump, pass or tackle.

Time's up, thanks for the beachball.

Been a terrific signing, but his legs can't keep up with the demands of our schedule. Wouldn't make the same mistake we did with Izzy and punt him but he needs to be the back up to a younger player there.

People talking about actively disliking him  Grow up.

He is finished. Has been getting progressively worse for the last two years, but is a liability now. Love the guy, but he's toast.

Sad to see a once very good player playing like an absolute donkey. Hopefully whoever replaces him for the next game has a great game and Lustig is out of the team for a long time.

It's not even just his legs, he lacks focus. We nearly lost a goal yesterday because May ran off the back of him, and we did lose a goal in Russia for the same thing.

Love the guy, needs to go before that changes.

We were saying the same thing about Brown 2 years ago and look at him now.

Lustig needs a break, or surgery or something, he's a shadow of the player he was even just last season.

Keep him as back up and bring in another feisty attack minded full back to take some pressure off KT.

If you have your clubs protege playing more football than any other player in the world at the age of 20 then something needs addressed before he gets burnt out. Having more attacking threat from RB would add a lot more balance, even just a bit more defensive nous would be useful.

Lustig has been great, and I hope he doesn’t get criticised too much simply for being past his best.

That thing of ball-watching, getting sucked in towards the middle and not watching his far post has been a thing for a season or two now. Rodgers must know it but he's useful to have because he tucks in and becomes that third centre-half in the system when KT moves forward but his negatives are starting to outweigh the positive at this stage.
