He must give possession away most times he plays the ball forward. Any pressure on him and he gives it away. How he plays for Sweden I'll never know. Said this for months but he's a complete liability who has had an easy ride coz he's a cheerleader.

Generally plays well for Sweden.

Weirdly they tend to be well organised in defence.

Efe at RB would be a better option.

Tonight, Mancini targeted the spaces behind the FBs, particularly Lustig - imo, it also suppressed KT; Brendan should have adjusted accordingly.

Can't run, can't cross, panics in his own half, doesn't half a left foot and constantly switches off at the back post. A liability.

Sadly he is done. Just can't play a pressing attacking style.

TBF he was playing on the right of a three. I'd like to see the same graphic from Ajers side.

One point Musonda played a pass to him to go down the line, he was like an old man trying to get there. Love the big guy but now our weak point and needs replaced :(

Maybe it is hope over reality but I think lustig will still have a few good games to give Celtic yet. But not when he is carrying an injury or playing two games a week for weeks on end. Get him injury free and play Ralston more often and we will have a better chance of getting performance s from lustig.
When was the last time he played two games in a week? We rested him on Sunday FFS. One of the manager’s many blind spots.
Before the break he played nearly every game due to the injury of Ralston. Adding in Sweden's games that was a lot more games than he should play in that time. He hasn't played as much since the break because he has been injured - and was only patched up for the zenit games.

He could well be done but I remember two years ago people saying he was done then as well only for him to have a very good season last year. Personally I think if Ralston hadn't been injured we would all have been much happier with Lustigs contribution this season. I just wouldn't write him off yet. Managed right I think he still has something to offer.

It's tough watching him atm though, all season his crossing has been aimless. Really flat, slow crosses that hit he first man or are way behind the striker.

Despite having 3 RB's on the books I felt we really needed a new one in January, even a CB who can play RB. When we've another fit CB I'd move Ajer across to the right.

Gave up on him in the Hearts game this season; right about the same time he gave up on chasing a ball in favour of standing screaming at the ref for offside, allowing a Hearts player to run past him to get it. The "he gets it", piano-playing stuff has clouded the views of too many for too long, he needs to be replaced in the summer.

Probably won't be though.

Have tried to be kind to him before. He has been shocking for months. In these games, his trademark loose pass inside leading to loss of possession and dangerous opposition counter is a depressing feature of pretty much all of our games. He has since added the completely useless floated cross to no one breaking up even the most mildly promising of attacks.

He turned his back on a cross in the first half and his reaction time to attempt to rectify his error was akin to ground control finally receiving data from a Mars space probe. Was a good warning of his lack of awareness and defensive competence at crossed balls so ineptly seen for the third goal.

He has become totally weak and has to go.

Right now he's an utter liability who spreads panic through the rest of the team. I'm starting to actively dislike him, which is a shame - as pointed out, he doesn't pick himself and he's been a cracking player for us at times.
