He was hardly the quickest in the first place.

Abysmal, horrendous, rank rotten... the only Rangers chance came from Tierneys side.

Lustig wasn't great but reign it in ffs.
That's because Tavernier is one of their main attacking threats who can hit the odd decent delivery. Hodson is a defensive full back who hardly crossed the halfway line.

Lustig was poor in the first half.

Add that one to your list.

Windass has been more of an attacking threat than Tavernier this season.

Charge on though.

he was not even close to abysmal. a couple of dodgy passes in first half hour but good after that. nothing came from that side and as said they got in behind the other flank much more

lustig gets a ridiculously raw deal on here

I very rarely criticise him but he was awful in the first half.

Has been noticeable recently,to me anyway, that we seem to lose a lot of momentum when Lustig is on the ball.Decision making at times has been iffy and is becoming prone to under hitting passes and putting team mates under pressure.Likeable guy but is developing in to the weak link in the side.

I think he was our best player for a good couple of years, but has now become a bit of a cheerleader who has the one really good game in six or so. Ralston couldn't have appeared at a better time. Will go down as one of our best right backs ever though.

He just needs a song.

He's a maniac, maniac at right back
And he leaves the huns lying smashed upon the floor

My 10 year old daughter came up with that lol.

I like him, but he has never been our best player in any of the seasons he's been here.

Strange criticism. It's very difficult for a defender to be the standout player in an attacking team ( VvD may be the exception that proves the rule). Suffice to say Lustig has had many more good seasons than bad, many more good games than bad. He has been a huge success however you want to measure it.

It would have been strange on its own but it was a perfectly reasonable response to a suggestion he has been the best player in the team for a number of the years he has been at Celtic.

As much as I love the big man I’d like us to be looking for an improvement. His legs are gone and can get shown up against any winger with a bit of pace

He has been one of our most consistently good players that is not to say he isn't on the wane because he is - His back post awareness has never been great but has been compensated for by other attributes in his game - Nobody who has watched him regularly in his Celtic career could argue that his legs aren't going.

I would ask wtf he was doing when McGinn hit that - His attempted clearance header fell their way and when it is hit he seems to be rolling/ducking/diving(feck knows) in the opposite direction away from the flight of the ball???

Great signing. Gave us his best years and will be fondly remembered for many more to come. Do we need a replacement? Yes, absolutely.

He was quite slow in distributing the ball from the back yesterday. Needs to play it out with more urgency when he's playing more centrally.

He had a really good game against Anderlecht in his natural position though. He'll eventually be replaced by Ralston but they will rotate as the season goes on.

For now Lustig starts in Europe.
