Every game now he looks like someone who is absolutely loving his football these days, great to see.

Mikael Lustig. Right back, makeshift centre-half, killer inside left, and a striker with a deft first touch. He'll be knocking on Brendan's door with a pair of gloves under his arm before the end of the season.

His diving header from a couple of seasons back will take some beating, he's getting close though.

He's a fine player. Last couple of games has had remarkable attacking flair in flashes; and scored a ludicrous goal a couple of seasons ago v Hearts (I think) but more regularly has been a solid, if infrequently exposed, defender. I will always advocate for us to have a current Swedish international in the team, particularly one who gets both Celtic, and the need to wear a beachball as a hat in times of celebration.

The main reason he was given a new contract, based on what I take from Rodgers' words, is that he is a senior player who keeps morale high at training, and is considered a character with plenty of influence. It would be folly to remove guys like that. It's important to have respected internationalist who the players like on your side.

However, he runs like he's carrying the messages.

What the hell happened to his ability to cross? It's as if he has no strength in his leg. We need a replacement. And I hate saying that as he'd been my favourite player for ages under Lennon and RD.

We have one.

Gamboa's been brilliant when he's been given a game.

Slight exaggeration

Agree on Lustig. Love the guy but Brendan might have to think about signing a new #1 right back for next season.

All the talk before the match was about his being vulnerable against McKay's pace.

Post match it's about his poor crossing.

Fair to say he had a decent match defensively.
