i worry everytime this page is added too that he is injured again
I wouldn't be surprised to see less injuries this season if we can get off to a flyer and get CL football.

Not suggesting players feign injury with any regularity, but there was a dark cloud hanging over Ronnys last season and I can't imagine many players were in a rush to get back to action if they had been out.

If we start the season well and with an influx of fresh attacking options we could quickly become a team that is going places once again and if any player is serious about their career then they will not want to be missing games.
lustig played more games last season than any in his celtic career. only once in his full career has he played as many games and never more

Although it's in the lustig thread I didn't actually mention lustig or any specific player.

Was more to do with players wanting to play through the pain barrier to stay in the first team.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
i think Janko, Lustig, Toure, Tierney may end up being our strongest back four (accepting it won't always be a 4)
You would rather have Janko in the back line than Sviatchenko?
Don't ge me wrong, it's close and I like Erik despite his lack of speed. Think Brendan might like pace on both sides though.

I think Janko has major potential.

Are you saying you didn't have Lustig in mind when you posted?

Odd comment if you really didn't imo.

Lustily is a top footballer. Off piste last 12 months or so and anyone's real guess why. We have had a few players do the exact same due to our ceo bonus kings " project Ronny" . Just want him to get back to player he was and we all seen season 2 years ago. He has started very well and hope it continues.

Don't think his comment is that odd (or unreasonable).

and it could apply to Lustig as much as anyone else

Mmm, fair enough.

Suppose so.

It would take a certain sort to hang about an Injury Thread.

EDIT - to say, I hadn't noticed mick's Injury Thread before I posted this.

I'm not down on Sviatchenko at all. Could end up with 4 really good CHs when they are all fit.

If Boyata is included in the four, think about counting again.

We need a back 4 that play regularly together . I think that is on the horizon.

If Forrest can find form under BR so can Boyata.

Ronny's Gung-Ho and lack of protection from the midfield exposed the CB's time and time again last season.

Boyata is a better player than he gets credit for on here.

Boyata will come good.

I think I'm the only one left who thinks there is a player in there but I'm sticking with it :ph43r:

He's worse than Toure and Sviatchenko in my opinion. And if we play a back three, Lustig seems to excel on the right. So I don't think there's a starting place if the three aforementioned are fit. Maybe he could improve but he'd need someone in front of him like how Wanyama made Kelvin Wilson good.

Agreed but if any of them get injured I would expect Boyata to get a run.
