Re-make of the '94 Preds

EDIT - don't get your hopes up as they're 260 bucks

I had the originals. A Christmas present, I think they were £130. Not exactly a copy, but the essence of them is there.

Takes me back to my days at Firhill Boys Club and my two appearances for Thistle under 16's.

I'm coming out of retirement at 36, just to wear these. Beautiful.
I'm a copa mundial all the way. Those are one of the nicest boots I've seen.

The price is crazy but the boots are stunning.

I remember being genuinely disappointed, and a bit disgusted, when I saved up all summer to buy a pair of the original Predators, only to realise tey didn't make me a better footballer. The pre-pubescent me had expected some sort of real life Billys Boots. Never strayed from Puma Kings again.

If this has been posted elsewhere on the forum, I've missed it - good news for a few folk who posted in the "Commentators..." thread during the World Cup: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28881806

Had a pair of Preds in my younger days, anytime I think of these boots I just remember John Collins stunning bending free kick at Ibrox.

I ended up spray painting mine green, after the likes of Di Canio and Annoni wearing coloured boots.

Remember my mate trying to spray his like the Di Canio gold boots but ended up going a horrible orange colour

Do you know you could bend the ball just as well with the thick rubber bit on the sole of Timbies and Cats, or if in the play ground, a pair of Kickers.

I loved mine. Was taking free kicks galore just to imitate JC. Like you I wasn't a better footballer with them. Played for Firhill BC, which was a feeder for Thistle. Got to play two games for Thistle under 16's as they were short on players. Managed to score an Andy Smith esque tap in and two own goals in those two games, although I swear I didn't feel the deflection of the first one off of me.

The coach at Thistle said to me and I quote, 'Big Boys fooball just doesn't suit some pal.'

Career over.

Gazza looks really ill, could pass for 70. Such a shame the way alcoholism and his moronic friends have destroyed his life.

Pfft, alcoholism is such a terrible disease and I truly hope the guy gets well. He needs help and maybe sectioning would help him, I don't know. He is slowly committing suicide and no one wants to see that.

But, I struggle to find sympathy with someone who beats women. It's that clear cut for me.

Conflicted. Talented, but troubled guy

Clubs now officially using Football Manager data in their scouting... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28738388
Clubs will have been using this for a good few years by now in my opinion.
