Ross County have signed Liam Boyce who played against us last season. He looked like a part-time level player TBH.

Someone on twitter claiming they have a leaked SPFL document showing league fixtures. It has us away to Dundee Utd then away to Ross County.

Tweeting from this account: @DanielHazell99

Edit: Damn autocorrect.

A bit old, but nice move from Shakhtar

Shakhtar Donetsk agree to pay remaining value of Maicon's contract to his family

Quote:

Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk have decided that they will pay out the contract of Maicon Pereira de Oliveira to his family, in full, folllowing the Brazilian's death last weekend.

The 25-year-old striker, who had been on loan at Illichivets Mariupol, was tragically killed in a car accident last Saturday.

Legal protocol dictates that his contract - due to run until 2015 - should expire immediately, but the club's CEO Sergei Palkin has revealed that the club intend to grant the rest of the player's contract to his parents and young daughter.

"The contract with Maicon was valid until mid-2015," said Palkin.

"From a legal point of view, in such situations it expires.

"But Maicon has a seven-year-old daughter and quite elderly parents.

"Therefore, the president of the club decided to hand his family the amount stipulated by the contract, in full, to support his family at this difficult time."

Maicon, who joined Shakhtar in 2012, made just six appearances for the Ukraine giants, scoring once, but was fondly remembered by the Miners.

"He was a talented footballer, open and friendly guy," read a statement on the club's official website.

"Maicon loved life and knew how to make it positive and bright. Tragic, untimely and absurd death took away a wonderful person from our ranks. Maicon was only 25 years old.

"It is a terrible bereavement for each of us.

"FC Shakhtar expresses condolences and sympathy to Maicon’s family and friends. May he rest in peace."

Las Palmas played Cordoba last night for the final place in La Liga next season

First game ended 0-0

Las Palmas were 1-0 up just before the extra time began, but then their fans entered the field to celebrate

Game was postponed for several minutes, before it was started again

This is what happened in the final minutes of the game

World cup has put me in mind of something I remember seeing years ago, an interview from either world cup or euros when I think Russia was put out and the manager whilst being interviewed after trailed off into a weird speel about his mother in law staying in the hotel room with him and his missus, light on the detail but anyone else recollect this at all ?
