Not sure where else to put this but somehow ended up watching a video of Fernando Torres from back in 08/09 and the difference is staggering to today's model. How can he go from that to missing open goals and looking like he's never played football before? :ponder:

He got some bad injuries that he never seemed to recover from. They seemed to take away his pace, which was a big part of his game. He was pish before he went to the last World Cup too, Liverpool did amazingly well to get £50 million for him considering he wasn't having a great season when he left.

Shame they spunked most of it on Andy Carroll
It was part of the deal. Newcastle said they want £15m less than what you get for Torres.

15 year old Martin Ødegaard made his debut yestersay in the best Norweigan division for current champions Strømsgodset. The game were 0-0 when he came on, but wit two assists from him they won 2-0

Hmm Stefan could you please have a word or two with your former club!

Had no idea Benayoun was at QPR but as the article suggests, it's not surprising.
Scored their first goal at weekend

The one in the video that you have down as an assist is a total fresh air shot.

The Guardian are doing a series on 'stunning' moments from the world cup. I enjoyed the latest one about Dennis Bergkap's goal against Argentina in the 1998 QF.

Still laughing at the thought of the St Johnstone fan asking if they'd be okay for a cup final ticket.

Aye mate, no problem for a ticket, in fact bring a friend.

With him not being a man of letters, or a distinguished orator, whenever Rino opened his mouth the dressing room turned into the Rio Carnival.
