He dived, then owned up to it. Doesn't deserve any praise for being honest.

Sometimes a player just goes down.

It isn't always a foul and it isn't always a dive.

True, but that was a dive.

Should the ref listen to the player who owns up to diving or falling in the box etc though? What if the ref gave a bye kick and the player who went down said, "Actually ref, that was a penalty"? Would he change his mind then? Would a Scottish ref listen to Ian Black in the same circumstances? :suspect:

Players always complain for decisions. It's rare for a player to admit the ref made a mistake that benefits his own team.

Miroslav Klose did it a while ago as well. I'm too realistic to expect it to happen with every decision but it's refreshing when it does.

The player didn't appeal.

These guys will never win anything. ;)

Fowler did that against Arsenal at Highbury.
Ref still gave the penalty, Fowler took it and intentionally hit a poor pen, only for McAteer to knock in the rebound.

Two former Celtic players will captain their respective sides against each other tomorrow in the Asian Champions League group stages. Yokohama F.Marinos, captained by Shunsuke Nakamura, take on the defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande at home, who are captained by Zheng Zhi. Tom Rogic will play against them both over the next couple of weeks too, as Melbourne Victory are also in the same group.

Yeah think the klose one was where he scored with his hand, and he got it chalked off.

Think they deserve a bit of recognition, very rare to see honesty in the modern game.

Interesting wee documentary about the physical qualities of genetically modified footballer Ronaldo.

Thanks. Definitly worth checking out, goes pretty in-depth but seems overly focused on the physical side but then again, it's from an EPL perspective and it's difficult to get scientific evidence of sporting excellence. Particularly the "technique"-section is barely more than a how-hard-can-he-hit-it, with the mental part hardly getting attention.

Tbh, one of the best individual footballers documentaries.

Albion Rovers have donated 10k of their cut from Ibrox to Cash For Kids. Superb gesture. Almost the exact opposite from Sevco, who donate a cut of money from a charity game directly to themselves.
