Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I see your point but changing the rules to outlaw contesting a ball with the head would change the fundamentals of the game completely to make it unrecognisable as the same sport. Mason's injury was at the extreme end of the head injury spectrum as regards football. Petr Cech is the last player I recall in thois country suffering such a severe injury and that was nothing to do with heading. He now has to wear a safety helmet i believe for insurance purposes.

In contact sport you will always get bad injuries and fatalities from time to time. Our own John Thomson springs to mind.
Yea, I take your point. All I'm saying is that the act of two players running towards an object and jumping headfirst to contact make contact with it might be numbered. Football as a whole certainly doesn't take concussion seriously enough. It's one of the only sports where you can get knocked out and be allowed to continue. A wee drink of water and you're good to go again.

There should be no fatalities in sport, especially not football as a result from injury.
Isn't it US youth football which bans heading altogether? If anything it might improve the quality of football in this country.

Definitely would. It would get rid of the Hoof and hope merchants for a start.

Football would be shampooe without the aerial aspect. Someone will need to invent a wee second skin style helmet. They rugby caps would have carrots headering like Majstorovic.

Probably be known as Booze Myhill from now on in? Jake Liversore? I saw a tweet saying they have stolen more taxis than they have won league games under Pardew

Frank Rost on Hamburg:

“The pain is self-inflicted. I always compare it with the three doors you had on Takeshi’s Castle. You know behind one door is someone who’s going to punch you in the face. Hamburg run through the same door every year.”

Netflix and Depardieu not welcomed in Marseille Stade Velodrome. Netflix sponsored a promotional tifo to announce the second season of their very bad series Marseille. Depardieu should have given the kick-off of the game against Bordeaux. Fans were furious and all that was canceled at the last minutes.

Marseille fans had lots of tifos and banners against Ligue 1 to display yesterday.

I liked it to some extent as well... because Marseille people usually hate it and they're usually funny in their contempt.

Daily Record are claiming that the SFA are looking to buy Hampden outright for about £2million. They believe they have Queens Park over a barrel as the stadium is worthless if the national team and cup finals are moved to Murrayfield.
