Just saw Alexis Sanchez penalty from yesterday and got me thinking.

The penalty taker surely has an unfair advantage if the keeper saves or the taker hits the woodwork.

The taker seems to more often than not get to the rebound 1st.

Surely the defending team should be allowed the same chance to react to missed penalty?

Anyone got any thoughts on it?

if it hits the post the taker can't go for the rebound.

if it's saved then it's fair game as it's been touched by another player.

The odds on scoring a penalty are with the kicker. If we were being totally fair, then the taker should score with his first effort with rebounds not counting. I hate it when a player hits a shampoo penalty and gets away with it by scoring with the rebound from a great save (unless it's Celtic scoring, of course).

quick question KDS why don't the huns have a team in the development league is it coz they are skint :ponder:
I believe they elected to have their development squad play in some glorified friendly tournament with teams from England and other countries instead of a league.

Why? The game is live once the penalty is taken.
