If nothing else there have been some good photoshops of it on Twitter. The v sign, the James Bond gun pose and an ahem, personal massage device are all standout submissions.

Yesterday, FC Metz played a French Cup game. After the team for the game had been announced, a fan based in Mauritius noticed an administrative mistake in the teamsheet that could have got Metz disqualified. The guy contacted the club and managed to convince them to change the team.

Jim McInally makes some good points here, but will anyone listen to him?

'SMALL MINDED' Celtic and Rangers are ‘bullies’ for trying to force colt teams into League Two and fans should BOYCOTT clubs who back plan, says Peterhead boss Jim McInally
The Old Firm duo want their U-20 outfits to play in Scotland’s fourth tier next season

Jim McInally is a fud, watched him abuse a young referee for a good few minutes while taking a Celtic youth side (14 or 15s) some years ago....slagged him rotten all the way back to the changing rooms after the team lost...Rocco Quinn was playing and about the only decent player we had. Great example to the young players & parents.
No idea why Sevco want to put their team into the 4th tier....unless it gives them a foothold should they go into liquidation and they can't persuade some other club to step aside.

In many countries, professional clubs have their reserves in the lower leagues. Why would it be a bad thing in Scotland ?

When I watched Red Star games in the fifth division, the players and fans looked forward to the late PSG game. You could see their young players, and sometimes a star getting some game time to be match fit after an injury. PSG reserves had their own support, mainly families.

Same thing when my club in Brittany plays in the same division as Lorient third team.

In Portugal the top 4 have their B teams in the 2nd division, Porto B are actually leading in it.
I came across a cracking story there about the 1980 Spanish cup when B teams were allowed to enter.
If they were drawn against their A team then they would be redrawn, the Spanish fa said the only way they could meet would be in the final but that would never happen anyway, except it did.
Real Madrid B got to the final to play the first team and lost 6-1.
As Madrid had won the league the B team got to play in the cup winners cup only losing to West Ham in extra time.

What a load of shampooe.

The average attendance in League Two is 537. Now I know they won't be filling out Celtic Park or Ibrox, but I reckon the two best supported clubs in the country could draw that number to their reserve team's home games easily enough, especially if the league's smart enough to ensure that they play their games on a different day to the senior team. That means more money for the league and more exposure for the league.

As for the argument that it benefits Celtic and Sevco more than the other teams, admittedly there's an element of truth to that. What he's missing though is that 95% of the guys who play for Celtic & Sevco in these games won't ever make it as senior players with either side. The lower leagues are littered with guys who've come through our or their youth systems as it is. If those same players had had the benefit of competitive football at an earlier age, they might be that little bit better by the time they find themselves playing for the likes of Peterhead.
