Cardiff fans were raving about him this morning. They are quite an easily pleased bunch though

About the same Ryan Jack has managed this season despite starting a dozen games. :mitb:

Stirling Albion deployed stewards at their match on Saturday to stop people swearing !

If you kept swearing you were flung out.

Too far .
They’ve always been a bunch of killjoy bastards at Forthbank. About 400 people in the ground and they would send the police up the stairs to tell a couple of kids to stop standing up at the back of the stand. And when one guy brought along a guitar to get some songs going they confiscated it as a fire hazard

I hear Rod Petrie, not content with turning his back on a Judicial Revue, has plans when he’s elected President of the SFA to introduce a play off for the SPL title involving the four top teams. He wants to end Celtic’s dominance and will push this agenda hard. Celtic are aware, and have acted accordingly.
One to watch closely.

Would the President of the SFA have any jurisdiction over the rules and set-up of a different body’s competition? Thought it would only be the Scottish Cup he would have any influence over.

Sure I posted something ages ago that championship play-offs would be on the agenda as it becomes inevitable we'll reach the ten. Must admit I'm slightly suprised it'd come from Hibs but old habits die hard I suppose.

Correct. It’s eff all to do with him.

Mind you, that plank Doncaster would probably be up for it.

This proposition would take the biscuit. Another League transformation, anything except a conventional setup, play each other twice and clubs such as United, St Mirren, Falkirk and Dunfermline included.

If it's such a bad idea then how come we're left adjusting this bizarre Premier League constantly rather than revert to the standard which brought European success and produced superior players? Why are we always different from what almost everyone else goes with?

That idea will be kicked into the long grass when they realise it’s a system like that which boosted Pedros CV enough to get him the Sevco gig.

Looks like San Antonio are now having their District Attorney sue MLS and the Columbus Crew owner as a team moving to Austin would probably piss over any hope they had of getting a team.

I've got no problem with that kind of system, I go through stages of following South American football leagues and they tend to use those type of system with 2 championships per year. More teams have a chance of winning and it can be very exciting.

But I don't believe anyone in the SFA is angling to make that change now while we're chasing 10 in a row. It would be beyond parody.

I've always regarded the convoluted nature of some South American leagues as a joke. Totally devalues the championship.

Maybe the upcoming league restructuring was behind the huns thinking in appointing Caixinha.

Or maybe they're mental basturts with no clue.

In 2015 Argentina adopted a single league format like in most European countries. 30 clubs to please everyone but they should reduce it to 22 in a few years.
