Ireland - Denmark (away first leg). About as good as it could have been.

6 counties get the Swiss. Decent enough for them to.
Switzerland won 9 out of 10 of their group games. I don't know the relative strength of the groups but that's not to be sniffed at.
It was Portugal, Hungary, Latvia, Faroes and Andorra.

The home win vs Portugal didn't feature Ronaldo, Hungary were dreadful and Latvia, the Faroes and Andorra are, well, Latvia, the Faroes and Andorra.

9 wins in qualifying isn't to be sniffed at, as you say, but the quality of that group was pretty awful.

Both draws are about as good as they could have been, to be honest.

Denmark? Let's be honest it's the best possible draw for us and winnable. Italy and Croatia would have had too much for us while the Swiss were very unlucky in the group stage taking 27 points from 30. 50/50 tie but it gives us hope.

Yeah, they didnt come right and say suicide, but there was an article today where Butcher was talking about how he never recovered from Helmand.

Looks like Columbus Crews move to Austin is happening. Also a lot of MLS team are pulling their reserve teams from USL.

Sad about the Crew, technically the first MLS "franchise", but they just don't play in a good market for pro sports (OSU Buckeyes are really the only game in town, in Columbus). Having said that, the current owner is a bit of an absentee land lord sort of dick that thinks holding cities to ransom for new stadiums is the way to go. Sure he'll keep the Crew in Columbus, if the city builds him a new fancy stadium, and Austin doesn't build him a new fancy stadium. Crew stadium is less than 20 years old ffs, you don't need a new stadium, you need better marketing. A minor league team an hour away in Cincinnati gets more people in for games as the Crew does. Texas doesn't need another team, and even if they did, I doubt Austin is the place to be.

Wasn't sure where to put this so excuse me if this is the wrong thread. Can anyone remember why it looks like half the Celtic end of Hampden was shut in the game Konterman scored in at us?
