Went to hear Chris Sutton & John Hartson talk about their playing days last night, thoroughly enjoyable.

Sutton was genuinely funny and enjoyed a good few self-deprecating jokes. Hartson seemed like he was more answering off the cuff but was very interesting to hear him admit he also thought Sutton was a better foil for the KoK than he was.
Sutton and Larsson was the best striking partnership we ever had. Probably in the entire history of our club.
MON didn't get much wrong in his time here, but breaking those two up to accommodate BBJ was his weakness.
Agreed.

Sutton was talking about the 6-2 game being his favourite. Said he should also get credit for Henrik's chip as 'if it hadn't bounced off my belly 10 yards in their half, he'd never have dribbled past 2 before nutmegging Konterman and chipping Klos!'

Hartson made a point of saying it was incredible how many holes Henrik got them out of. 'I'm not talking about 5 or 6 times a year, I mean every f*cking week!'

I'm sceptical that first one is correct because of the amount of more games in the Champions League than the European Cup.

Celtic, Liverpool, Man United, Forrest all won the European Cup playing 11 games in our winning campaigns.

If we finish 3rd & go out of the Champions League in December, Craig Gordon for example will have played 10 games.
Ok, now I’m it sure if the qualifying matches are included!

It is two years old it we’d need to see a breakdown of Broon’s matches by competition

Rickie Lambert has retired aged 35. Amazing story really. From a beetroot factory to playing in a World Cup.

The Spanish national team had to cancel their open training session 23 minutes in. Objects thrown on the pitch/at players and Pique had to be escorted from the pitch by armed security.

Pretty disgusting behaviour. Hope he decides to retire from international football. The amount of bawbaggery he’s put up with has been a joke.

I'm currently reading Dominic Mateo's autobiography - he was born in Dumfries and moved to England (I alwsys thought the SFA had unearthed a Scottish grandparent)when he was 5, however, more importantly, his dad was a Celtic supporter and went to Lisbon in 67.

My wife and I were on a cruise a couple of years ago which had a good percentage of Spaniards on-board and it was a real eye opener just how much resentment they have towards the Catalan people :o

Spanish attempts at organisation in football appears utterly mental at times.

Firstly, Barcelona play a home game on the day of the referendum, instead of the day before, when presumably it might have still been a bit tasty, but nowhere near as much of a flashpoint as playing on Sunday. There did not seem to be any reason why it could not have been played on Saturday. Other than, you've guessed it, TV demands.

Then the national federation allows fans into the first training session following the divisive referendum, knowing that Pique and other Barca players are in the squad. That went well.

Absolute madness.

I see Open Goal have done an interview with Barry Ferguson - watched it earlier, was actually really good. Would recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed the other interviews.

Peru U15 have called up Osama Vinladen for their next squad - his dad refused to tell him why he named him as such, my best guess is that the postman "came" when the dad wasn't at home - poor kid
