Bartomeu stays on as Barca president as vote of censure fails. They needed 16k votes, but only managed 12.5k.

Looking increasingly likely that Messi will be off to Man City next season. Iniesta will be off, too.

Car crashed into a lamppost. The lampposts over there should come with a health warning.

Aberdeen's stadium will be voted on by the cooncil on Oct 11.
Read on the BBC last week that even if ACC approve the stadium and training ground plan (as they are surely likely to do), because of the roads plan affecting Aberdeenshire Council, they basically need to also approve that element, and it is them who are likely to scupper it due to the very vocal NIMBY brigade being based in the Shire.

Having experienced loads of those types up that way I can safely say that progress is not something that comes naturally. Happily have a big massive Costco and Tesco built right on their doorstep, but not a football stadium and training facilities to benefit the wider community. No siree.

Some absolute muppet held up the building of the bypass almost singlehandedly for about 2 years. A special breed.

The top 6 in the Premier League want a greater slice of the revenue from the international television rights. Scudamore wants to allocate 35% of the total to placement finishes and the remaining evenly divided by the rest of the clubs. The big 6 want it entirely based on finishing places and are adamant that they should get a bigger cut as they account for 70% of international TV audiences. Think the collective bargaining model of the Premier League is nearing the end.

Will kill the league as a spectacle, and teams like Bournemouth and Brighton might as well not even bother.

Ok I have a new quiz then, source is trustworthy, not Google.

Q1. Which Scottish player has the most European Cup and/or CL appearances (for any clubs)?
1 point for getting it right,
If you’re wrong you can get max half a point for either of the other top 3

Q2. In all UEFA club competitions, which Scot has scored the most goals?
same scoring as above

Q3. Who was the first Scotsman to win a UEFA club competition?
1 point for getting it right
If you dnt’t know, 1/2 point for getting the club

answers - only peek when you’ve had a go
A1.

I'm sceptical that first one is correct because of the amount of more games in the Champions League than the European Cup.

Celtic, Liverpool, Man United, Forrest all won the European Cup playing 11 games in our winning campaigns.

If we finish 3rd & go out of the Champions League in December, Craig Gordon for example will have played 10 games.
