Awful news. Derry is a club very closely knit to its community, the city will be shell shocked.

Dare you to tell a Chilean it's not official.

It is actually counted as official:

And despite the tournament being an official iteration of the Copa América, the winner would not receive an invitation to the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup (nonetheless, eventual winners Chile had already qualified through their 2015 victory).

lol ok, according to the book, the bhoys, written by Richard lerman and david brown, on the 6th of august 1889,we played rangers in the rangers & Clydesdale harriers sports cup final winning by 12-0, I have looked and can find no info on this match, if genuine this surely is our largest score against the orcs?

See the Celtic wiki here, which explains the mistake over the score: http://www.thecelticwiki.com/page/1889-08-06%3A+Rangers+0-2+Celtic,+Rangers+%26+Clydesdale+Harriers+Competition

Seems it was 2-0.
