They look fun on old youtube videos tbf but not sure it works in a world cup. Tbf expanding it already makes it worse

I would love the them shoot outs to be implemented , fans would see a lot more skill and excitement.

Yup, I agree. Some team of donkeys might think differently of sitting in vs. Brasil, or Barcelona, if dribbling technique, shooting, and the mental aspects are going to be involved in the shootout.

Spurs new stadium revealed. They seem to be focusing on a shopping mall experience. Looks utterly soulless so it'll fit in well with the EPL

Another death in Qatar. This time a British guy. Absolutely shoking H&S record over there but I'm sure FIFA don't care as long as they make a few quid :nono:

Not sure why but I just had a flashback and wanted to see what Du Wei is up to these days...

He's in the Chinese Super League... not only playing in a team that contains Lavezzi and Gervinho... but he is club captain. It actually looks like he has gone on to make a pretty decent career for himself.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Du_Wei_(footballer)

absolutely outrageous scenes

Currently captain of a team managed by Manuel Pellegrini and with Gervinho, Stephane Mbia and Ezequiel Lavezzi among his team-mates.

Ross McCormick missed the Villa game today as he has been dropped. Steve Bruce says he has missed training to many times recently. Latest excuse was that his electric gates wouldn't open so Bruce went to his house to see what size they were and they were just 5 foot so he could have jumped over them!! Drops him today due to attitude.

True story just heard it in SSN

Spare a thought for this guy. 94th minute goal by West Ham costs him 245k.

Have a go at Lawell continues in the press.
Thought that was done on here?

SPFL blundered by failing to lure fans to Scottish lower league matches during winter shutdown - Waddell
Gordon Waddell believes Neil Doncaster and SPFL bosses are too busy obsessing over TV deals to think about the fans.

Stewart Gilmour’s claim that Peter Lawwell pulls the strings of Scottish football wasn’t exactly news, was it?

A persuasive, pervasive voice, protecting the interests of Scotland’s biggest club above all others? Go figure.

That relies on a very odd concept of "football fan". Most people like one club and wouldn't get off the couch to watch another.

Did anyone see Verratti getting booked at the weekend for getting on his knees to head the ball back to the keeper?

What was he booked for? Unsporting behaviour? That's all I could assume it was, and my dad was going off his head at the referee claiming Veratti had done nothing wrong

On passback's.

Quote:

No trickery may be used to get around the terms of the amendment to Law 12. A player may pass the ball to his own goalkeeper using his head, chest, knee, etc.; however, if, in the opinion of the referee, the player uses a deliberate trick -- such as flicking the ball to his head with his foot and heading it to the goalkeeper or kneeling and deliberately pushing the ball to the goalkeeper with his head or knee -- he must be cautioned for ungentlemanly conduct. It makes no difference whether or not the goalkeeper touches the ball with his hands; the offense is committed by the player who is seeking to circumvent both the Spirit and Letter of the Law.
