All 4 home nations teams fined by UEFA for wearing the poppies
and other associated acts.

So there you have it UEFA views this illicit act in the same vein as
flying a Palestine flag or singing songs of Irish rebellion.

Thats going to sting the huns that is.
Republic fined for the Easter 1916 symbol as well. Only after being grassed up by the North. :nono:
Loads of moaning on the news about the poppy fine. That's what you get when you had your mouth shut for years when UEFA and FIFA were doling out fines for nonsense.

Looks like the Concacaf champions league is on hold to 2018, they want to change when its played so that no teams have to play it during their offseason/preseason that MLS teams currently have to. Also will mean more games between MLS and LigaMX will be in the works.

Not sure of your source, but think it just means it'll all be played in a calender year as opposed to now. Group stage was played in summer, but quarterfinals are scheduled for February, final in May. Basically MLS teams are preseason training and have to play knock out stage football.

You're not suggesting that the poor old MLS teams have to suffer a disadvantageous situation, just like a team close to home?

Yeah, playing some part time Gibraltar outfit is a bit different than having a pre-season training and being thrown into a quaterfinal vs. a Liga MX outfit.

Who's your team, out of interest? Did they get a tough knock out game against someone who beat Inter Milan twice?

Is anyone keeping up with Doncaster appearing at Holyrood today, incredible stuff...

SFA doesn't look at terms of contracts; so an "illegal" contract (like £1/week) could be registered, MSPs told. Johann Lamont incredulous

There are "no immediate plans to change" contract registration scheme, MSPs told; Neil Doncaster repeats that "we are not a police force"

Philip Sim ‏@BBCPhilipSim 12m12 minutes ago
"I'm sure I can't be the only person here who feels that's not quite the response we would have been hoping for," Johann Lamont says

"We're talking about 12 year olds," Brian Whittle says. Words like agent, compensation and disputes shouldn't come into the system.

Philip Sim ‏@BBCPhilipSim 10m10 minutes ago
"We have to deal with reality as it is, not as we wish it were," Neil Doncaster replies. Current system not perfect but is "fair & balanced"

Philip Sim

Brian Whittle says: "I find it incredible. We're dealing with kids here. I can't get my head around the fact you're defending this system."

Philip Sim ‏@BBCPhilipSim 9m9 minutes ago
Maurice Corry joins in; he's "really quite seriously concerned" with submissions from SFA & SPFL. Are they working to prevent exploitation?

Watching soccer AM there and they did their spoof of the US soccer commentary then they showed some classic actual commentary . Ladies game, player hits. a screamer into the top corner, guy says "wow!! What a goal! She hit that with no regard for humanity!".

Round about the 17 minute mark in this Scott Brown points at the roof a model of Celtic park and says that not falling off is it?

Whatever can he be referring to?

Just watching Goal Bash or something on C5 with all the lower league English, big unit sat on the sofa panel next to Alan Curbishley, looked like a heavy set East London gangster - it was Adam Virgo.

Shortly after his former teammate Marc-Antoine Fortune showed up playing for Southend.

Hapoel Tel Aviv declare bankruptcy. As a political commentator noted, it's one of the few left-wing, anti-racist and anti-war institutions in Israel.
