Scotland's Game' will be broadcast in four parts on BBC ONE Scotland, starting on Thursday 25 August at 2100 BST.

Might give some idea about the ckub, but I agree with the otherr comment about Dundee selling two players, not looking good for them or our money spinning game against them in America.
you only need to look at the attendances for the smaller clubs

game here is effed

Going to take a wild guess and say that it will include a lot of big words from Stuart Cosgrove with a lot of non Celtic / Sevco fans on saying it is all the fault of Celtic and Sevco we are in such a mess in this country football wise.

Oh, and it will be a lot of pish.

Dundee have been in admin multiple times already. They get good attendances for a less successful club, how do they keep having such problems?

Meanwhile, trials of video refereeing are underway. Here's the first use, which adds a delay and only makes the ref more certain of his wrong decision. Thankfully they are only doing this in competitions no one cares about so far - this is a US third tier match between MLS reserve sides.

They might well say it's our fault, but our fans travel and in many instances prices are raised for our fans when visiting those clubs and are higher then their own fans. Let's not forget that our team brings interest to those games and raises the profile of those teams. We are instrumental in the TV deal. In addition our fans bring atmosphere.

Secondly. When Sevco were on their "journey", studies indicated that they had suffered no real drop in income and some of their own fans had returned as Sevco were not there.
Lastly, in recent years other clubs have done very well in the Cup competitions. However, it is their own fault that when we are not at a Cup final that the attendances drop and Hampden is not full. Is they can't get motivation for their fans to attend a final which they have a good chance of winning then that is no-ones fault but the two finalists themselves. Then, if we are in a Cup competition, they benefit from increased ticket sales as these are share after the SFA gets it cut and costs are deducted.

When we get the the Group Stages of CL, a bonus is paid which they benefit from

We also benefit these clubs, as we have spare cash, when we buy players from them.

Lastly, many Scottish clubs have benefitted by us loaning some clubs our players. This is mainly subsidised by us financially in terms of those players wages and contract conditions.

Many teams have never been better off financially, some with no debt.

Many of them have not invited significantly in their grounds. Aberdeen, Hearts, Dundee United and co are examples.

They have a cheek. A blooming cheek. The fault is them, look at St Mirren, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Hibs, etc.

Let's expect them seeking a move to share home ground attendances. They really are a joke.

Aberdeen are building a brand new stadium and I'm pretty sure Hearts have plans to do up Tyncastle instead of building a new stadium.

Dundee have sold their strikers as both wanted away and their deals were running out nothing to do with financial problems, can't see it being them (cue egg on the face when they go into admin this week).

Hope the mods will forgive me for putting this here but it just needs to be seen and enjoyed by a wider audience than on the Olympic thread. Two young guys from Skibireen in Cork have went viral on account of their hilarious interviews. And they ended up with a silver! Enjoy.

Agree with most of that. This programme, if it is designed to throw light on why scottish fitba is in free fall ( or at least in deep shampoo ) should start by looking back on the pre Murray " let's buy the big cup " days.

Aberdeen, Dundee Untd were both challenging, or beating , the Huns. We were pish, but it was only a matter of time before the families were booted off the board.

Very healthy attendances , great competition, and a healthy interest even from south of the border.

All notion of competition went out the window, at least league wise as the Butchers, Woods, Wilkins, Laudrups started to arrive.

All of course paid for by a business built on sand that could never sustain , or indeed, justify that level of spending.

Do you think this programme will hang the bastard Murray out to dry ? No, neither do I. They will probably talk about journeys and relegation to the bottom tier . Yella bellies, the lot of them.

Watched a bit of I believe in miracles last night and I must admit, I had no idea just how good a footballer John Robertson was. I was bit too young to appreciate how good Clough was but it's interesting viewing. So many Scots in the that team as well. What in the name of f*ck has happened to our ability to produce players?

Off the top of my head Robertson, Burns, Gemmill, O'Hare?
