Still think that whoever thought it would be a good idea for West Ham to move away from Upton Park after 100 and odd years is :cuckoo: .

God forbid we ever move into another stadium in the future :twitch:
A state of the art £700m stadium that holds 54k at a measly annual rent of £2.5m per year on a 100 year lease is a fantastic bargin.
It has the potential to turn West Ham into a huge club along with the EPL TV money.
Not only that, a lot of the services at the ground like maintenance will be funded by the taxpayer making it all the more attractive.
It's no wonder Spurs were livid about the deal.

A stadium built for athletics with no link whatever with West Ham. It's an absolute shanner to try and pass that off as a football stadium.

Leicester City didnt need taxpayer funded stadium to win the premier league.

It's only three miles from Upton Park and a huge and inexpensive upgrade on a rickey old ground.
I agree it will not have anywhere close to the atmosphere of the old stadium, but it will genertate a lot more income and help them attract better players giving them an improved chance of winning trophies. The move to the Olympic Stadium was an absolute no brainer for West Ham.

Just read that the bottom team of the La Liga this year will receive €62m in TV money.

AC Milan have also been sold to a Chinese investment group.

Newcastle, with one of the highest paid coaches in Europe and an eye watering budget, are down 1-0 to Fulham and have been absolutely rotten.

Shame.

Anyone got a link to the Kieran Tierney interview from Japanese tv when he was a nipper? Can't seem to find it on YouTube.
It's on this thread somewhere.
