This will be something like the 24th consecutive season in the EPL where it won't be won by an English manager.

There can't be many if any other current top leagues in world football that have a similarly poor record of home based managerial success.
Who was the last one who even came close? Roy Evans?
Looks like Keegan, at Newcastle. Houllier was manager of Liverpool when the finished second in 01-02
DOnt think the EPL has ever been won by an english manager. The first division on the other hand was. I may well be wrong.

Keegan came closest to winning it in 95/96. 4 points behind Man Utd. Ron Atkinson is next with Aston Villa finishing 10 points behind Man U in 92/93.

Last englishman to win top flight was Howard Wilkinson with Leeds Utd in 91/92 which was the last year of old 1st division.

There aren't any. Can't remember when but I saw (and posted) a chart of it on here - Howard Wilkinson was the last English manager to win England's top division, with Leeds in 91/92. Think it was something ludicrous like a 20 year jump to the next league.

Could well be wrong but I'm sure I remember Japan was the only other country that got close to this record. (Not considered a top league though, obviously.)

Who was the last "English born" team to win it? I mean a team where 5 or 6 of the players were English born and almost certainly picked each week?

Was it MU at the time of the Nevilles? before them are we into the 80s?

Must have been Utd when they had the Nevilles, Beckham, Butt and Scholes. Arsenal would have had a decent whack of English players as first choice in George Graham's time though - Adams, Keown, Seaman, Dixon, Parlour etc.

As we have a passing interest in Sports Direct and its vile owner, I though I'd share this, just in case you mistake the trade union members for protesting zombies on Saturday.

Unite (the trade union for Sports Direct workers) will be holding a national day of action this Saturday (13 Feb), and will be taking the message of decent jobs to more than 30 high street stores around the country.
We'll be demanding that Sports Direct commits to becoming a living wage employer, tackles its Victorian work practices, and transfers agency staff onto fixed hour permanent contracts.
Can you support Sports Direct workers on Saturday? Join us on the day at a Sports Direct shop near you.
Find a list of locations at the Unite website: http://bit.ly/sportsdirectaction
We'll be handing in this petition on the day as well. It's fantastic that it's just passed 20,000 signatures!
Can you give us a hand with a last push by sharing it on social media today, and encouraging your friends to join you in our call for decent jobs for Sports Direct staff? you can see it at http://bit.ly/sportsdirectpetition

Thanks for your help,
Luke Primarolo, Unite the Union

Blackburn - Sutton, Shearer, Sherwood, Batty, Flowers etc.
