Edit: At £16.50 a ticket, I might try and sneak a peak when the door opens.

A big display of Celtic artefacts from across Europe. Main message was that those called Celts were everywhere! Worth the entrance fee.

Re-writing record books? It'll never catch on.
Paula Radcliffe, Jonathan Edwards and Colin Jackson could lose world records as UK Athletics aim to start 'clean era' by wiping out results
UK Athletics have released a manifesto in bid to clean up the sport UKA chief Ed Warner has said organisation is willing to rip up record book Warner has said UKA will take 'radical steps' in order to right the wrongs
By MATT LAWTON FOR MAILONLINE
UK Athletics has responded to the current global doping crisis by releasing a radical new manifesto for a cleaner sport that recommends ripping up the current record books and enabling athletes to set new world records in a ‘clean athletics era’.
Spoiler: click to toggle Great Britain boasts three current world record holders, for outdoors and indoors, in Paula Radcliffe, Jonathan Edwards and Colin Jackson. But UK Athletics has recognised the widespread loss of confidence in athletics because of a corruption scandal that suggests drugs cheats have been protected by world athletics chiefs at the IAAF – with the corruption allegedly going to the very top with former IAAF president Lamine Diack now among those under investigation by the French authorities for extorting money from athletes to conceal positive tests. Unveiled on Monday, UKA’s ‘manifesto for clean athletics’ includes ‘a call to the IAAF to investigate the implications of drawing a line under all pre-existing sport records – for example, by adjusting event rules – and commencing a new set of records based on performances in the new Clean Athletics era’. GB'S CURRENT RECORD HOLDERSJonathan Edwards has held the world record in triple jump since 1995. Edwards, now 49, broke the world record twice at the 1995 World Championships. His record still stands at 18.29 metres. Colin Jackson held the world record for 110m hurdles for 10 years before he was eventually gazumped. However the 48-year-old does hold the current indoor world record for 60m hurdles with a time of 7.30 seconds from his March 1994 race in Germany. Paula Radcliffe, 42, is the current women's world record holder in the marathon. Her time of 2 hours, 15 minutes and 25 seconds, which she set during the 2003 London Marathon, ensured her name remains in the record books. UKA would also like to see the introduction of a public register of all drugs tests, make national federations pay compensation for athletes cheated out of medals and prize money and hit the most flagrant breaches of doping regulations with lifetime bans. The governing body of British Athletics also plans to announce fresh recommendations from their review into the Nike Oregon Project following allegations of unethical practices by Alberto Salazar, the American coach of double Olympic champion Mo Farah. UKA had said they would wait until the conclusion of the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s investigation into the Salazar-run Oregon project, having initially said in September that their own independent investigation had ‘found no reason to be concerned’ despite around 20 witnesses linked to the NOP having given evidence to USADA investigators. It will be interesting to see if that position has changed. In the initial statement issued on Monday morning UKA said: ‘We are also publishing the recommendations from our review into Oregon last summer. We had said we would wait until the USADA Report before publishing but the need for transparency overrides our previously stated position.’ The UKA manifesto is certainly ambitious, and could yet spark internal conflict as well as a wider debate given the call to transfer power from national doping agencies like UK Anti-Doping to the World Anti-Doping Agency. The manifesto makes 14 recommendations in all, with UKA stating a desire to explore ‘how to best legally implement a rule that will result in athletes who commit a serious anti-doping violation receiving a lifetime ban from representing Great Britain’. The 14 recommendations are:· WADA should maintain a public global register of all drugs tests so that the times and places of tests undertaken by all athletes are open to scrutiny. · If the above is not introduced swiftly by WADA, UK Sport should mandate all lottery-funded athletes in Great Britain to have their tests available on a public register maintained by UKAD. Non lottery-funded athletes in the UK should be invited to join the register. · A call to WADA and UKAD to investigate the implications of publishing a register of missed tests. Also to review the efficacy of the current ‘three strikes’ system with a view to lengthening the measurement period to 18 months or two years · The pool of athletes subject to testing, both in the UK and worldwide, should be deepened. Also, there should be an increase in out-of-competition testing for all athletes. · WADA should review and strengthen the process around the granting of Therapeutic Use Exemptions to athletes. · The IAAF should insist that all athletes competing in world championships have a valid blood/biological passport and have been subject to a predetermined number of in-competition and out-of-competition tests in the 12 months preceding the competition. This should be in place for at least the top 10 leading athletics nations by the 2017 World Championships. Once established this blood/biological passport should become an athlete prerequisite for all major international competitions. · The IAAF should make it the responsibility of member federations to reimburse any lost prize monies to affected athletes resulting from a ban and annulment of results. If a member federation does not honour this responsibility, it can be suspended from participating in major championships. · A call to the IAAF to investigate the implications of drawing a line under all pre-existing sport records – for example, by adjusting event rules – and commencing a new set of records based on performances in the new Clean Athletics era. · A call to all companies who engage in sports sponsorship not to support any athlete found guilty of a serious doping offence as a matter of principle in support of Clean Athletics. In addition we call for the IAAF to ring-fence a percentage of each of its commercial sponsorships to be used toward the funding and support of Clean Athletics. · Governments should commit to ensuring that their national anti-doping agencies are truly independent, ideally by handing over their management directly to WADA. · Bans should be extended to a minimum of eight years for serious doping offences to ensure that cheating athletes miss two Olympic or Paralympic cycles. Lifetime bans should also be applied in appropriate cases. · The supply or procurement of performance enhancing drugs should be criminalised and those in positions of authority who are found to be involved in such practices should be banned for life from any involvement in sport. · Anti-doping agencies should be renamed Clean Sport, or their equivalent in local language – for example Clean Sport UK – to emphasise the ultimate purpose of their activities. · Finally, UK Athletics commits to exploring how to best legally implement a rule that will result in athletes who commit a serious anti-doping violation receiving a lifetime ban from representing Great Britain. UKA chairman Ed Warner said: ‘The integrity of athletics was challenged as never before in 2015. Clean athletes and sports fans the world over have been let down. Trust in the sport is at its lowest point for decades. ‘UKA believes the time has come for radical reform if we are to help restore trust in the sport. Athletics needs to act very differently if we are to move on from the crisis facing the sport. We are publishing today a "Manifesto for Clean Athletics". We cannot will the ends - a clean sport that people can trust - if we are not prepared to be bold and put in place the means to get there. ‘Greater transparency, tougher sanctions, longer bans - and even resetting the clock on world records for a new era - we should be open to do whatever it takes to restore credibility in the sport. 'And at the heart must be a proper and appropriate funding regime for the anti-doping authorities to help confront the new challenges they face. Clean athletes the world over deserve nothing less. ‘This Manifesto is obviously just one contribution to the debate. There will doubtless be many others. What matters now is that athletics faces up to the scale of the problem facing the sport and is brave enough to take the tough and radical steps to ensure its long term health - however difficult they may be. ‘We are also publishing the recommendations from our review into Oregon last summer. We had said we would wait until the USADA Report before publishing but the need for transparency overrides our previously stated position.’ A final point in the UKA statement acknowledges the need to ‘identify the costs involved in implementing these changes and a mechanism put in place for supporting their funding’. ‘However, their import is such that financial challenges cannot be allowed to stand in the way of their rigorous pursuit,’ the statement adds. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-3393253/UK-Athletics-proposes-wiping-results-usher-clean-athletics-era-Paula-Radcliffe-Colin-Jackson-Jonathan-Edwards-lose-world-records.html

Crazy story coming out of italy today. Torino forward and formr italian international, fabio quagriarella was in court today. Turns out an italian cop has been stalking him for the past 4 years and was spreading nasty rumours about him saying he was a paedo. This cop was writing to him and his club threatening to go public. Quagriarella got the police involved and eventually took this cop to court.
Turns out that during this time, he played for napoli who received numerous letters from this cop saying their player was a paedo. Napoli made him move house (right next to their training ground apparently to keep an eye in him). They eventually sold him to torino and its believed napoli just wanted eff all to do with it, so moved him on.

Spoiler: click to toggle So not a 'strange story' really but Tor-Kristian Karlsson (guy who was the main scout at monaco for a bit) posted his 'best 21 players under 21' list. Figured I'd pass along for those interested:
1. Rúben Neves | Age: 18 | Position: Central midfielder | Club: FC Porto | Country: Portugal
Captaining FC Porto in a Champions League game at 18 says everything one needs to know about the maturity of this intelligent, tactically aware and elegant Portuguese central midfielder. Despite recently suffering from injury set-backs, Neves is well on course to establish himself at the highest level of European football. His excellent first touch and playmaking abilities from deep or advanced positions in midfield make him perfectly capable of one day leading an even bigger club than FC Porto.
2. Hector Bellerin | 20 | Right-back | Arsenal | Spain
Exceptionally quick, comfortable on the ball, ever-improving tactically and defensively, the young Arsenal right-back seems to have it all. Among strong competition -- Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers are of a very decent Premier League standard -- the Spaniard has made the right-back position his own. Aside from his youthful enthusiasm and constant will to push forward, Bellerin could be mistaken for a seasoned defender in his late 20s rather than a "rookie" who has clocked up only 30 Premier League appearances.
3. Anthony Martial | 20 | Forward | Manchester United | France
Many eyebrows were raised back in August when Manchester United spent an astronomical £45 million (plus add-ons) for what was considered a talented but still emerging player. But the French youngster wasted no time in showcasing the immense ability that has had European top clubs courting him for quite some time. Though his performance level still varies, Martial has responded extremely well to the added pressure generated by the much-discussed transfer fee and the increased profile that comes with a move to a Premier League giant. The athletic, quick and technically gifted Frenchman is one of the few bright sparks in an under-performing Manchester United team this season.
4. Kingsley Coman | 19 | Winger/forward | FC Bayern | France
Currently on loan from Juventus to the German champions for a substantial fee (7 million euros), the young Frenchman has impressed to the extent that FC Bayern now look certain to exercise the 10 million euro buy-option at the end of the season. While there never has been any doubt over the Paris Saint-Germain academy product's genuine potential, his progress during the past four months has been quite unreal. In only nine league starts he has stunned the Bundesliga public with his trickery, brilliant movement and acceleration with the ball, making that total transfer fee of 17 million euros look like a real bargain.
5. José Giménez | 20 | Central defender | Atletico Madrid | Uruguay
From being thrown in at the deep end for Uruguay in the 2014 World Cup with hardly a first-team game under his belt, Giménez is now a mainstay alongside his countryman Diego Godin at the heart of one Europe's most impressive sides. Excellent one vs one defensively, very mobile for a central defender, possessing an imposing aerial game and equipped with an infectious determination, the Atletico Madrid central defender has most of the attributes to make him one of the dominant defenders of his generation.
6. Dele Alli | 19 | Attacking midfielder | Tottenham Hotspur | England
In less than a year, Alli has moved from the obscurity of third-tier football to become one of a few players on whom England are pinning their hopes for the upcoming European Championship. Very much a modern central midfielder, the 19-year-old blends a natural attacking instinct with discipline, tactical intelligence and work ethic. In the mould of Frank Lampard or Steven Gerrard, Alli possesses the priceless ability to time his runs from midfield to arrive for goal-scoring opportunities. As such, he was recently awarded with a new long-term contract with the North London club.
7. Leroy Sané | 20 | Attacking midfielder/winger | Schalke 04 | Germany
With powerhouses such as Barcelona and Manchester City closely monitoring the progress -- and the contractual situation -- of this exceptionally quick, newly capped German senior international, Sané could soon find himself at the centre of a lively transfer saga. His turn of pace and ability to effortlessly outrun opponents with the ball at his feet make him extremely dangerous on the break. He's left-footed but prefers drifting into attacking positions on the right.
8. Gianluigi Donnarumma | 16 | Goalkeeper | AC Milan | Italy
The 16-year-old shares the remarkable career development of his namesake Gianluigi Buffon -- one of the best goalkeepers in the history of football -- as well as his compatriot's impressive physique, composure and excellent reach. With more than 10 Serie A starting appearances for one of the biggest clubs in Europe, Donnarumma has never looked fazed by the occasion or looked out of place between the AC Milan posts, hence displaying the mental qualities that are required for a top-level goalkeeper.
9. Breel Embolo | 18 | Forward | FC Basel | Switzerland
Based on the enormous expectations created by his remarkable breakthrough, perhaps even greater things were anticipated in 2015 from the Cameroon-born Swiss international. Though liable to drift in and out of matches and seemingly prone to losing his focus, the future is still very bright for the supremely talented FC Basel forward. And although his tremendous attacking potential is yet to be fully reflected in the goal-scoring charts, Embolo's balance, power and agility make him one of the most sought-after prospects in European football.
10. Alen Halilović | 19 | Central midfielder | Sporting Gijon/Barcelona | Croatia
The Catalans still expect great things from this technically brilliant and intelligent attacking midfielder. Previously considered slightly "soft" at times and reluctant to take defensive responsibility, Halilovic is now gaining valuable experience the hard way from fighting out a relegation battle on loan at newly promoted side Sporting Gijon. Being included in the full Barcelona senior squad is a realistic aim for the young Croatian next season.
11. Youri Tielemans | 18 | Central midfielder | Anderlecht | Belgium
Still not quite in the mainstream but with nearly 100 league matches to his name, the Belgian teenager is quietly laying the foundation for a successful career under the watchful eyes of all the big European clubs. Moreover, Tielemans is a naturally gifted player whose agility and advanced footballing brain enable him to dictate the pace of the game and to pull strings in midfield. He might need to add some more cynicism to his game before securing a much-anticipated move to an absolute top club.
12. Marco Asensio | 19 | Attacking midfielder | Espanyol/Real Madrid | Spain
Subsequently loaned to Espanyol following his summer move from Real Mallorca to Real Madrid, the 19-year-old Spaniard is most commonly fielded as a central attacking midfielder but, with his excellent change-of-pace skills and ability to turn defenders inside out, he's equally efficient on either wing. Further, Asensio's agility and wonderful first touch make him extremely difficult to mark in tight situations. And while he's very reliant on his left foot, he has continued to steadily develop and improve during his first full La Liga season.
13. Adrien Rabiot | 20 | Central midfielder | Paris Saint-Germain | France
The much talked about central midfielder -- initially because of his contractual situation rather than his ability -- has finally been allowed to show his talent in the PSG midfield. While slowly gaining playing time in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, left-footed Rabiot -- who was once on the books of Manchester City -- has recently stood out with his fine understanding of the game and balance between attacking improvisation and defensive input.
14. Jonathan Tah | 19 | Central defender | Bayer 04 Leverkusen | Germany
Signed from Hamburg in the summer, the young defender has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the past six months. Not only has the 19-year-old performed well in the Champions League but also at the halfway stage he is among the very best central defenders of the Bundesliga. On one hand Tah is a no-nonsense, old-fashioned centre back who's strong in the tackle and efficient at clearing the danger, while on the other he's composed and precise in possession.
15. Ángel Correa | 20 | Forward | Atletico Madrid | Argentina
The Argentinean, whose development has been compromised by a heart tumour, is yet to establish himself in Diego Simeone's preferred first-team lineup but showed his real qualities during the FIFA U20 World Cup last summer and frequently makes an impact when coming off the bench in La Liga. An incisive and intense forward who's excellent one vs one, Correa also made his debut for the Argentina senior side last autumn.
16. Leon Goretzka | 20 | Central midfielder | Schalke 04 | Germany
The lanky central midfielder is enjoying an outstanding season with Schalke 04 and, along with similarly aged teammates Max Meyer and Leroy Sané, is attracting a lot of interest from European powerhouses. Excellent on the ball, Goretzka plays with an ease and intelligence well beyond his age. He's likely to gain a place in Germany's Euro 2016 squad this summer.
17. Gabriel | 19 | Striker | Santos | Brazil
Considered by many the most promising attacking talent with a Brazilian passport since Neymar came through the ranks at the same club, Gabriel has enjoyed a breakthrough season at domestic level, netting 10 times in the Brazilian Serie A championship. A slick finisher blessed with excellent movement inside the penalty area, Gabriel may well soon be rewarded with a Seleção call-up if he keeps up his current development.
18. Kelechi Iheanacho | 19 | Centre forward | Manchester City | Nigeria
Manuel Pellegrini has shown a lot of faith in the Nigerian, often bringing him on to change Manchester City's fortunes toward the end of matches -- at times even preferring him ahead of £25 million signing Wilfried Bony. So far he has repaid this confidence by scoring two decisive Premier League goals. The physically impressive centre-forward broke through during the 2013 FIFA U17 Championship in which he was awarded the "Golden Ball" for player of the tournament.
19. Munir El Haddadi | 20 | Winger | Barcelona | Spain
Having made his debut for the Barcelona first team 18 months ago, the La Masia product is progressively making inroads into top-level football. This season the wonderfully gifted young Spanish winger/second striker has looked comfortable while gaining precious experience in the Champions League, even coming off the bench in the 4-0 demolition of Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
20. Divock Origi | 20 | Forward | Liverpool | Belgium
Despite a rather disappointing 2015, the Belgian forward still possesses the potential to be considered among the elite of young footballers. Struggling to find a way into the Liverpool starting lineup, he needs to improve his decision-making and tactical awareness to take full advantage of his directness and wonderful pace.
21. Gastón Pereiro | 20 | Attacking midfielder | PSV | Uruguay
Despite yet to find his feet in European football following his move from Nacional de Montevideo last summer, the elegant, left-footed Uruguayan still rates among the most exciting talents in the world in terms of pure talent. Blessed with a wonderful skill and close control, Pereiro can, in flashes, resemble some of South America's finest playmakers -- although a lack of industry and an inability to impose himself on matches currently stand in the way of his final breakthrough.
