The legendary Dragan Stojkovic :worthy:
Loved him as a kid.

Then, during an interview with JW on Scotsport he was asked if he could join any team in Scotland, who would it be?

'Celtic' came the reply. JW was gutted
There was a pic with Stojkovic holding or wearing a Celtic shirt, might have been in NTV very early 90's or so. Masterful midfielder in the great Eastern European No.10 mould.

Can recall seeing pics of Mirandinha with the Hoops on round about the same time and that GK from Chile, Rojas of firework infamy. Not quite the caliber of Dragan obviously but still good to see!

We played Red Star in a friendly around Christmas time of 88 or 89 if I remember rightly.
Think we lost 1-0 (not sure), and the programme had a big article on the man.
Don't remember him with a Celtic shirt though.
Still got that programme somewhere.
Stood in the Celtic end for that game. Not even sure if the Jungle was opened for it.

Tribute to AIK's goalkeeper Ivan Turina who died in his sleep on 2/5/13

Big Dan is shown in the video as well.
Only just heard about that keeper.

Benfica and Porto both now unbeaten through 26 games, with the season in Liga Sagres having only 30. Unbeaten seasons are pretty rare, but I believe that to have two would be unprecedented.

The teams meet on May 12th in Porto. Benfica is four points clear.
Porto scored a 92nd minute winner to leapfrog Benfica by one point, and to maintain their rather extraordinary league record of one defeat in three seasons minus one game.

The Liga Sagres will be decided next week, with Porto traveling to Pacos Ferreira and Benfica hosting Moreirense.

If Porto draws and Benfica wins, then Porto would achieve what you might think would be a unique feat of failing to win their championship despite being unbeaten. But you'd be wrong. It has been done by....Benfica, in the '77-'78 season. The champions that year? Porto.
