Clyde 1 ran their usual football teasers yesterday and the question for the 2nd half one was a who am I ? type

He has won every major trophy in Scottish football twice, he scored the only goal in a 1-0 win to give his side the title.

My immediate thought was Tommy Johnson( which turned out to be the correct answer) but I can't seem to place him winning the Scottish cup twice ?
Once in the Treble season but we didn't win the cup again until 2004 ?

Am I missing something really obvious or have Clyde made a balls of things with this question ?

I think that's a balls up, as we won the Scottish Cup in 1994-95 (before his time), 2000-01 (which he won) and then again in 2003-04 (after his time).

Football kits quiz: Test your knowledge (slightly mis-leading title)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35124990
Blobbed on Dundee Utd., Spain in '86 and Brian Little. 7/10
Only got the UTD one as I recognised Jim McInally.

The Celtic Wiki has him winning the Scottish Cup in 1998 for some reason so guess we've found where Clyde1 do their research

according to the Sunday Herald match report it was in protest to Police activity...

"As more and more supporters around the stadium flicked on their mobile phone lights – seemingly in protest against police surveillance – it began to look like a 21st century take on the white hanky protests so popular in Spain. The natives were restless, of that there could be no doubt. "

strangely, the one area where there were no lit phones was 111, the Green Brigade. Surely if it was a demonstration about police surveillance, the GB would have been in the middle of the demo?
I reckon it was a bit like the white hankies seen in Spain to indicate unhappiness with the team & manager, only, nobody in Glasgow carries a hankie (that's what sleeves / gloves are for)

Just a general question with nobody in particular in mind.

Do you think it would be possible (or easy) for a professional footballer to feign a hamstring injury to get himself a few weeks out of the first team when the going gets tough ?

What is the likelihood that rangers get a home draw in the next round of a cup competition against Dundee?

Darren O’Dea has no regrets over Rangers’ remarks

ALAN PATTULLO

He might have become better known for his outspoken comments in recent times. But new Dundee defender Darren O’Dea is determined to prove he has returned to Scotland a far better player following his adventures abroad.
