Lukasz Zaluska signed for Darmstadt in the Bundesliga. And, once again, he's sat on the bench, playing absolutely no football at all. Almost an entire career spent sitting on the bench. What a lucky bastard I noticed them when I was doing the midweek match thread there. You can see him warming the bench on BT Sports Europe on Tuesday night

Surely this only affects the company, the club lives on?
Bolton served winding up order over tax bill
ANGUS WRIGHT
SKY Bet Championship club Bolton have confirmed they have been served with a winding-up petition from HM Revenue and Customs over an unpaid tax bill.
Wanderers’ alarming financial crisis has deteriorated rapidly over the past few weeks after it was revealed they had failed to pay their players for November, and now HMRC has rejected requests from them to be given more time to conclude a sale.
Spoiler: click to toggle If selling some assets on the football side of things means getting the club through stormy waters that’s what we’ll have to do Neil Lennon Bolton, managed by former Celtic boss Neil Lennon, had hoped they could conclude a takeover this week after drafting in financial advisor Trevor Birch to help long-time owner Eddie Davies, who is willing to wipe out £185 million of loans owed to him, sell the club. However, with discussions still ongoing, HMRC has now acted to call in unpaid PAYE and VAT for the month of November. It raises the possibility of administration for Lennon’s bottom-of-the-table side, who would have their entire total wiped out if they were to incur the 12-point deduction that can be triggered by administration. A statement on the club’s official website confirmed: “Despite requests from the club to HMRC to give it further time to either conclude a sale or raise additional funds, HMRC has proceeded with due process and duly served a petition.” Birch added: “Quite clearly the club remains in a critical financial position. We will continue to try and finalise a sale or alternatively raise some short-term funds needed to give the club a breathing space and time in which to consider its options.” Wanderers have been in discussions with a handful of interested parties since Birch was brought on board last month, including a consortium headed by former striker Dean Holdsworth, which has financial support from local boxer Amir Khan. But the club remain in limbo until a suitable buyer can be found because Davies has turned the tap off on his own financial support. Bolton remain hopeful administration can still be avoided because it will almost certainly consign them to the third tier next year, but they may have to offload promising youngster Zach Clough and midfielder Mark Davies, which would leave Lennon with a threadbare squad anyway. Wanderers do own the Macron Stadium, the Whites Hotel that is a part of that ground and their academy and training ground and Birch, who has worked in bleak situations at the likes of Hearts, Leeds and Portsmouth previously, may have to get creative to raise funds over the coming weeks. Speaking about the possibility of going into administration at his press conference yesterday, Lennon said: “Trevor has a few plans in place to avoid that scenario. That may mean doing things around the stadium in terms of selling bits off, I don’t know. He’s confident that he can avoid that. “That [administration and a consequent 12-point penalty] would mean we would be a League One team and we’re just fulfilling fixtures for the rest of the season. What we need is someone to come up with the money, help the club out and just get us through a difficult period to January. “What we may have to do in January is sell some assets in terms of the football side of things as well. But if that means getting the club through stormy waters that’s what we’ll have to do.” Read more: http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/bolton-served-winding-up-order-over-tax-bill-1-3972558#ixzz3uHCRVXtl Follow us: @TheScotsman on Twitter | TheScotsmanNewspaper on Facebook

Some upgrade for him, sitting on the bench in the Westfalen Stadion.

Bulgarian champions Ludogorets say they could quit the league after claiming that referees are favouring title rivals Levski Sofia. On Saturday, Levski were losing 1-0 against Litex Lovech but the game was abandoned when Litex players walked off the pitch in protest after a second red card and a penalty against them.
"We'll probably quit the championship if such precedents in favour of Levski continue," said Ludogorets' owner. Kiril Domuschiev took over Ludogorets in 2010, immediately leading them to the second-tier title and they have won all four Bulgarian championships since then - their only four seasons in the top flight.
They lead Levski by three points, although they will be level at the top if the Bulgarian league do give Sofia the win. Domuschiev added: "Why should we spend our money, allowing teams who have neither the necessary skills nor the necessary class to win the title with such an approach?"
On Saturday, Litex sporting manager Stoycho Stoilov said of his decision to take his players off the pitch: "There was a huge difference in the referee's decisions. I've never seen something like this in football. "This is a farce, an insult to all Litex supporters and all football fans. It was the peak of the absurd situation of football in Bulgaria."

Aye sure he was a midfielder or right back? He's a midfielder, but think he was played in defence with hibs. Signed for Brighton two weeks ago, but ineligible until January. Be interesting to see how he gets on in the Championship. Never really given a chance here

The QC made a simple mistake and did not know the full facts! Aye, nae bother Paul, it's his fault.
Rangers director Paul Murray vows £5m payback to Mike Ashley won't hit Mark Warburton's January budget for new signings
RANGERS director Paul Murray today stressed Mark Warburton will be given cash to strengthen his squad – despite the Ibrox club paying back the £5million loan to Sports Direct.
Murray confirmed the money to square up with Mike Ashley was in place – despite Dave King’s QC mistakenly claiming it had been paid back during a court case in London last week.
He also expressed confidence that Warburton, the former Brentford manager who has been linked with several vacant positions in England this season, would remain in charge in Glasgow.
Spoiler: click to toggle “To be clear on that, we have deposited £5 million with our solicitors,” said Murray. “The legal paperwork, which has to be in order before we can transfer the money, is in place. “Basically the QC made a simple mistake. He didn’t know the full facts, he made an innocent mistake and he made those comments and that’s why we then had to clarify it. It was unfortunate. “I am very relaxed. There are no funding issues at the club. We’ve said the club is funded until the end of the season and beyond, we said that in the accounts, and that hasn’t changed either.” Murray, speaking at the Gala 3G Arena as he promoted a Rangers coaching workshop at Gala Fairydean Rovers, admitted the legal cases which the Ibrox club are currently embroiled in are “unproductive”. However, he stressed they would have no impact on the plans they have for the future or their ability to bring in new players next month – and expressed total confidence in Warburton making good signings. ”We always knew there would be legacy issues to work through,” said Murray. “It’s not on the scale some people think it is, but you would rather not be paying it. Having said that, it’s not going to affect transfers. “Obviously we want to gain promotion. We understand we’ll have to strengthen. If Mark and David identify players they think can strengthen the squad then we will look to support that. “We have done that so far. We have supported every player he had identified and he has really shaped the club. The players he has brought in have added value. We have got a lot of confidence as a board in him to find players. “I can’t believe some people are criticising Mark because the progress made has been phenomenal. We have only dropped seven points all season. Hibs have done really well and it’s a great league, very competitive, and long may it continue. “I think Mark is really enjoying the challenge. I don’t know if he fully appreciated the size of the club when he first joined but he does not. He’s done a fantastic job. “We have supported Mark by bringing in some support staff, such as Frank McParland as chief scout as well as a conditioning coach. “The best we can do is support Mark as best we can. He can identify the players, coach them and bring them on. Mark’s shown his commitment by coming up to Glasgow. We have been committed as well. “Things change in life but he is committed to his future here. Promotion to the Premiership is his priority and eventually he wants to club the club back in to Europe.” “It’s not as if he is coming to us every day to say ‘I am leaving to go Swansea City’’ or whoever he is linked with that day. I and the rest of the board spent a lot of time identifying Mark and he has done a fantastic job so far.” http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/14153676.Rangers_director_Paul_Murray_vows___5m_payback_to_Mike_Ashley_won_t_hit_Mark_Warburton_s_January_budget_for_new_signings/

The Swansea line is disrespectful. Other than that it's interesting those legacy issues are being played down. Are they admitting then the club was being run in a fiscally responsible manner by the previous board?
If Minimum Murray and King do falter then that is damning indeed.
