Just watched it again. Didn't realise at first that the ball didn't bounce in, just goes straight in. To put that amount of spin and swerve on a ball in that situation in incredible skill or just pure luck.

Wonder if Joey Barton could do that? Maybe just overweight ladyboys that have that sort of technique and skill

Uch, I used to score those tight-angle shots all the time when I played for the school team 25 years ago....

Maracana reopened today with a small crowd to test the stadium out. Soon we'll have a decent stadium in Rio again after the Engenhao was closed as the roof has cracks in the steel supports. Sao Januario is a shampoo hole.

Llanelli FC (Jock Stein's club before he signed for Celtic) were put out of business earlier this month.

http://www.wsc.co.uk/wsc-daily/1161-april-2013/9695-llanelli-s-demise-another-blow-for-the-welsh-league

From reading Archie woof McPherson's biography, Llanelli always had problems sustaining pro football. During Stein's time there they went professional in an (unsuccessful) attempt to gain election to the Football League.

Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima is in my opinion, the greatest all time talent of the sport of football. Whether he fulfilled it or not, after the horrendous injury at Inter Milan, is up for debate but what an absolute genius the man was.
