Even if he actually said what the linesman is claiming, that seems like an extraordinarily harsh ban.

Pretty standard Spanish insult to be fair.
Busquets

“According to the ref, [the red card] was because he shat on the whoring mother of the linesman."
Does look funny when you see it written down in English.

This might be interesting only to me, but bc these convos come up a lot, here's a list of the 5 fastest tracked players from week 1 of the Bundesliga. Worth noting Christensen is a CB (on loan from Chelsea I believe, unless he just recently moved permanently).

Player (Club) Top Speed
Karim Bellarabi (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) 34,6 km/h
Nico Schulz ( Hertha BSC) 34,3 km/h
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund) 34,3 km/h
Marcel Heller (SV Darmstadt 98) 34,1 km/h
Andreas Christensen (Borussia Mönchengladbach) 34,0 km/h

Yer man Christensen struggled a fair bit, right enough. Got roasted on several occasions - looked really good at the U21 Euros, right enough.

Mongengladbach got steamrolled in general. He probably made the list chasing down Aubameyang.

Still though - impressive for a CB to be up there, right enough. ;)

100%. If his roasting isn't the norm for him in terms of performances (Dortmund were electric so presumt it was just a bad team day, him included) then that pace alone will get him a big move one day. Such a rare attribute for a CB, like gold dust.

THE SONS of Celtic legends Henrik Larsson and Chris Sutton may have grown up a lot since their fathers’ glory days.

But Ollie Sutton and Jordan Larsson are not too old to get a telling-off from another ex-Hoops star.

Stiliyan Petrov told the teen footballers to “get to bed” after butting into a Twitter conversation between the pair.

It came as Ollie and Jordan shared some memories of running on to the Parkhead pitch after their dads won the SPL title more than 10 years ago.

The exchange was sparked during Celtic’s clash with Swedish outfit Malmö last night.

Eighteen-year-old Jordan – who plays for Helsingborgs – wrote: “Getting goose bumps just watching from the TV!

Goalkeeper Ollie, 19, who was in the crowd at Celtic Park, replied: “Unreal mate! Come stay with yous for away leg.”

The pair started talking about running on to the pitch when the club won the SPL title more than 10 years ago.

Ollie told Jordan: “You took a pen against me I was 1 foot man, nae chance!!! you ran off with your tongue out.”

Referring to Henrik’s iconic celebration, Jordan added: “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

Then at the end of the exchange, Bulgarian star Petrov wrote: “You two should go to bed.”

That's fantastic.

Don't know anything about Sutton's kid, but young Larsson looks like a player.
