She's a doctor, not a physio.

It's an important distinction, because as a fully qualified doctor she's got a pretty clear code of ethics to follow. Denying a player treatment because Jose Mourinho is worried about losing a point is not one of them.
She's also the only member of the team or coaching staff who can enter the field of play without the referee's permission, precisely because it's her call whether she needs to be on the pitch or not.

Story here : http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/11/chelsea-doctor-eva-carneiro-role-change-jose-mourinho

Not that we needed any further proff that Morhino is a wee fud.
I do feel this is a pretty big line to have crossed, to be honest. The idea that a doctor should hang her ethics and prioritise the flow of a match over treating a player she thinks needs medical attention is an absolute nonsense. We all know Mourinho is a dick, but I for one wouldn't have thought he'd stoop that low. Hanging someone who is, by all accounts, a very accomplished doctor out to dry for simply doing her job dilligently is disgraceful.

Well, that will be the end of Jack Harper's Scotland career.

I suppose Scotland should be grateful John Brown was too busy, eh, doing whatever it is he does these days.

Beer in the fast lane
Long queues at the bar just to get a beer? That’s now a thing of the past thanks to the “Flügelflitzer” which is a new express kiosk where only beer is served.

There was one on Stephane Mahe's the other day where he had confessed his favourite band was Wang Chung. Would t always take wiki at face value.

I know it's Wiki but there are two footnotes at the bottom of the page which look genuine enough;

Bobby petta was released due to failing a medical, testing positive for opiates (heroin)
James McLeod was released due to long term injury, ongoing Sciatic nerve problem due to dislocating herniated disc.

Was something I never heard before - is someone at it?

Dundee United have suspended Stevie Campbell, the club's head of youth recruitment and development, pending an investigation.
The 47-year-old signed a new three-year deal with United in May.
Campbell's role was to introduce young players into the Tannadice set-up to develop them into the first-team squad.
In a short statement, the club says: "Dundee United can confirm an employee has been suspended pending an internal investigation."
No detail was given about the reasons for the investigation.
Campbell has been at Tannadice since 2006, when he became part of the backroom team under the manager at the time, Craig Brewster.
