It seems strange that EPL teams haven't tried any link ups with SPL teams, not counting Man City and Celtic's love in.

You would think that it would make sense for some of the top end EPL sides to try some sort of link up that could benefit both the quality of the Scottish game and increase the value of players in our market.

Realistically the SPL is a feeder league in Europe, but if richer EPL clubs could give 1 or 2 decent youngsters to an SPL team each year it would increase the overall quality of the domestic game, and possibly inflate transfer fees across the board as there would be more interest.

It could be a mutually Beneficial in a lot of ways, and if it could be seen as a respectful partnership rather than some sort of milking exercise for the EPL then I'd like to see more of it.

Financially it would make sense if each SPL team was aided with a wee bit of cash, a couple of decent youngsters and some coaching support for the club. With the mad money of the EPL clubs, they could easily add a lot of value to the game in Scotland and create a stronger pool of players across the league.

Anyone else think something like this could work, or would it be sacrilege to accept help from English Football?
It could be great for a lot of clubs in Scotland.

What's the benefit for the EPL teams? Apart from us, in terms of player development, I couldn't see any EPL club wanting to send young players to any other team in Scotland. Is the other main benefit not that the EPL clubs can send players elsewhere if they can't get a work permit?

Short term I imagine the benefits would be minimal, but with a concerted effort and done with an interest in actually developing the SPL club they are working with it would be remarkably cheap considering the cash floating about.

I still think the League cup should be binned and a UK trophy introduced.

The Chelsea physio has supposedly been sacked!
proving yet again mourinho is a fud.

she is the qualified person who knows when and when not to act on an injury , not mourinho.
No loyalty towards physios in football these days. :nono:

just on sky, she won't be on the bench this weekend

that is pretty disgraceful, even for chelsea

is there inference here that she's supposed to know when a player, in this case hazard, is genuinely injured or pretending to be injured?

mourinho really is a tit

Taken from the recent Annan v QoS game the two bro er respective Chairmen...

I had reason to contact the club a while back. The email address had the word 'ibrox' in it. It struck me as strange as the chairman of the club had spoken out very publicly against Sevco. Now the penny has dropped. Thanks for posting the photo.

Can see BT really playing up the Celtic Park atmosphere now that they've got the Champions League deal.

Could someone shed any light on what is happening over on TSFM? The main topic for discussion has been John Collins' remarks. Two moderators, Trisidium and Big Pink, have had a lot to say against JC and, to my mind, swayed the blog in that direction. (Trisidium accuses JC of being 'disrespectful' to other teams while looking down his own nose at other football blogs, which struck me as a bit off.)

A Celtic poster has just asked, given the similarities in the comments from Trisidium and Big Pink, are they one and the same person? Trisidium has said yes. (Mind you, there's been no corroboration from Big Pink yet 😜)

If it is the case, they are one and the same, I would imagine that would be a rather hefty kick in the nuts to the much sought after credibility of the blog. It would also utterly confuse me because I liked Big Pink much better than Trisidium - no disrespect meant, Tris.

But maybe I've got it all wrong. Can someone enlighten me, please?

Should you not ask that on the forum that is applicable as you'll probably get more sense from others that actually know what you're talking about.

There may be some posters on here that have knowledge of these guys, but I'd wager most folk on here have no idea who they are. I certainly don't

Have you considered that you possibly have got it all wrong and the person you disagree with is correct?

The Scottish Football Monitor.

It's a place where people write essays of about 5000 words and expect others to sit and read them.

She's a doctor, not a physio.

It's an important distinction, because as a fully qualified doctor she's got a pretty clear code of ethics to follow. Denying a player treatment because Jose Mourinho is worried about losing a point is not one of them.

She's also the only member of the team or coaching staff who can enter the field of play without the referee's permission, precisely because it's her call whether she needs to be on the pitch or not.

Story here : http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/11/chelsea-doctor-eva-carneiro-role-change-jose-mourinho

Not that we needed any further proff that Morhino is a wee fud.

Yes, Arsene, as you can see, I did consider that. That was the point of my post.

I can't ask on there as I don't have posting rights. There are a number of people who follow KDS and TSFM so thought that one of them might be able to enlighten me.

Fair enough.

So maybe you could, and it's only a suggestion mind, maybe you could paraphrase the bits you have an issue with from there, and describe in less than 500 words why the guy's spiel is garbage, what you think is correct, and then open it out to the good people of this forum and then we might be able to discuss it.

Your assertion that people of KDS also get involved in the TSFM is not holding up to scrutiny though, although statistically some must spend a lot of time there so some may come to your aid.

I also suspect that the points you bring up may already have been covered over the week in many other threads on KDS, e.g. The Press Watch one, and the attitude of posters on them will probably demonstrate that the variety of opinions on any other forum on this subject is exactly the same as here.
