Looks a fair age there but he's done well to carve a decent career from himself down south. He wasn't the worst full-back for us either. I really liked him. I was a bit disappointed when we let him go and still think he could have been a good squad player for us

Diego show on BT1, the only way anyone could stop him was assault. Sad watching it now knowing how they kicked his career at the top short, at the time it was just awe at his strength. To think folk had a pop at him for a handball, laughable when you watch back. In my time I've never seen a player receive treatment like that throughout a career, he was brutalized.

Local police blamed supporters from the German club for starting the trouble, which led to 25 arrests and left a number of fans bruised and bloodied. Three Leeds supporters, two police officers and security staff required hospital treatment. It is believed that 17 of those arrested were Frankfurt fans. 'Eventually the situation moved to the centre of Eugendorf where action was taken to stop the attacks, among other things a pepper-spray operation by the police.' One Leeds supporter, 53-year-old Neil Slinn, told the Yorkshire Evening Post how the situation escalated at the final whistle: 'A few of us went over to applaud the Frankfurt fans. Leeds & Frankfurt fans FIGHT after a friendly in Austria A fan wearing a balaclava confronts rival supporters on the pitch Riot police move in to try and split up the fighting fans at the end of the pre-season friendly in Eugendorf Police added that 'substantial problems' had been caused ahead of the game when a bus carrying Frankfurt fans from Salzburg to Eugendorf was stopped after 50 fans refused to pay the fare. It resulted in those supporters 'arriving on foot at the stadium and storming the entrance,' leaving two security staff injured. Leeds manager Uwe Rosler told ITV: 'Our supporters were terrific through the 90 minutes and unfortunately what happened happened but I didn't see it.' POLICE STATEMENT IN FULL - HOW FRANKFURT FANS STORMED GROUND AND ATTACKED LEEDS SUPPORTERSOn July 21 between 18.15 and 20.03, a football friendly between Eintracht Frankfurt and Leeds United was played at the sport centre in Eugendorf watched by around 1,100 spectators. At 17.15, the first problems were experienced in the city of Salzburg when a bus was blocked because around 50 Frankfurt fans on board refused to pay the fare to Eugendorf. At 17.55, as about 50 Frankfurt fans arrived on foot at the stadium, they stormed one of the entrances to the ground, physically attacking security personnel. The police stepped in immediately and were able to pick out four fans who carried out the attacks and arrest them. Two security officials were injured. A short time later a Leeds fan was arrested because he threw a bench at police. Only the quick intervention of police prevented Frankfurt fans stealing flags and banners the Leeds supporters had tied to the fences. During the game, a number of smoke bombs were let off but police were unable to idenfity the culprits. At the end of the game, Leeds fans entered the pitch and went towards the Frankfurt supporters. There was immediate provocation and the Frankfurt fans attacked the Leeds fans. The police moved in straight away. In the square in front of the stadium, Leeds fans running away from the ground were again attacked by Frankfurt fans. Eventually, the situation shifted to the centre of Eugendorf where police used pepper spray to stop attacks. There are three Leeds fans injured by the Frankfurt fans, while 17 Frankfurt fans were arrested. Two police officers were injured. In total, 25 arrests were made. The police investigation is still in progress. Leeds and Eintracht Frankfurt players push each other during the game, which ended in a 2-1 win for the German team Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3170079/Leeds-United-supporters-clash-Eintracht-Frankfurt-fans-ugly-scenes-following-pre-season-friendly-Austria.html#ixzz3gi9M9Bsu Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

Loved the over the top commentary and analysis. Paraphrasing but the Argentine analyst talking about Maradona stealing a goal against England 'they know plenty about stealing'.

Heard today from a lad at work that Bradford City have sold over 17k season tickets so far. They've been pushing them hard and prices are keen but that's a great effort, no?

My last attempt to post on Sevco closing thread was deleted so thought I'd try here.
Kirk Broadfoot has been banned for 10 games by FA for abusing James McLean.
No exact details yet but he may well have racially abused him while playing for Rortherham in March.
Big dirty wrong yin. Hate the guy with a passion! Edit - Broadfoot, not McLean Any links?
Or is it in the McClean thread?
