Robert King of the Angola 3 just being interviewed on CNN wearing Celtic strip (I had never heard his story either).
Shocking story. Gorgeous top. Link
I could just imagine watching that, very serious and shocking subject, then WTF there he is with the hoops on! Couldn't have picked a better strip. Anyone know why the hoops?
check the bottom of his wiki page :ph43r:

Almost unbelievable story. And the US lectures others about human rights? Top looks class - no question.

There's got to be a story behind this Robert King business. How does an African-American who's just spent 40-some years in solitary confinement come to be in possession of a Celtic Lisbon anniversary top? :ponder:

Celtic were around before his Imprisonment, he was released I think in 2001, not that odd that he has either heard of us or just seen the top and thought "I like the look of that, is it available sponsorless?"

Ah right, I didn't realise that he was released that long ago - am in work so didn't listen to the interview, and managed to confuse him with that other guy who's just been released after 40-odd years in solitary (who I think the interview may actually have been about)

That's who he is talking about in the interview.

Woodfox is the guy still in solitary despite having his conviction quashed as they are appealing it.

A renowned Celtic fan who has made numerous visits to Glasgow, King chose to wear his club’s colours during an interview on CNN and claimed that the shirt represented “oppressed people like me”.

I'd imagine the parallels between the civil rights movement in the US, and the Republican movement in Ireland, had something to do with it too.

McGinn is suing Thompson for spiking him with the pole at St Mirren.

But I'm sure it's all just a laugh according to the media.

McGinn is now out of contract and he can't pass a medical. If he's now got no income then I suppose he deserves some compensation.

I struggle to believe there was any malice in what Thompson did, though.

I doubt there was, but it was laughed off by the media as Thompson is close to them. It should have been taken a lot more seriously.

No it's not.

The penalty is considered finished once the referee believes the motion of the original kick is over.

In this instance, the keeper saved it and then tried to catch it.

Therefore, the initial kick is over.

The fact he made an arse of it and dropped it on the ground to bounce into the net like a tit is secondary.
