I just thought of this story and decided to share it with the rest of KDS. The reason I suddenly decided to share it now is probably because in reality I should be going through case law for my exam right now.

My best mate is in the Norwegian Coast Guard, and from time to time they make trips to Scotland. My friend was on only his second trip to Scotland this autumn, and they docked in Aberdeen. Sitting on the bus from the ship to the city centre on the Sunday morning, the bus stopped at a red light. On seeing my friend, 10-12 guys who were waiting to cross suddenly went mental, running towards the bus, smashing their hands on the window by which my friend was sitting, calling him explicit names, making come on gestures, the lot. My friend obviously did not understand anything, as he felt the "attack" was directed at him personally, and not at the bus in general. He was quite nonplussed as to how his appearance could generate such a reaction from total strangers. When arriving at the pub where they intended to have a drink, he told the barkeeper about the situation, and asked if he knew why it had happened. The barkeeper pointed out that my friend was wearing a green and white striped pique shirt, and as this was the same day as our away game at Aberdeen, he had probably had the delight of running into some of Aberdeen's casuals. On hearing this, my mate, who has no interest or knowledge of Scottish football whatsoever, promptly went to the nearest shop and bought himself a shirt in another colour.

Hope you enjoyed the story. I found it quite funny when he told it to me. I can only imagine who confused you must be when half asleep on a bus taking you from your place of work your mere appearance can provoke 12 totally unknown people to go mental.

It will be tight.

Say 12 hours per day: 48 hours

60000 /48 =1250 seats per hour = 20.8 seats per minute = 10.4 seats per minute each

So they each have to change seat every 6 seconds for a 12 hour shift 4 days straight! Including changing sections, food and toilet breaks. etc

Not easy.

Fifa designates a pitch on the Isle of Eriskay as one of eight remarkable places to play football in the world
A football pitch on the Western Isles has been recognised by Fifa as one of eight remarkable places to play the game in the world.
A match played on the field in Eriskay has been filmed for screening in the football governing body's new museum in Zurich in Switzerland.
The Fifa World Football Museum is due to be opened to the public next year.
Eriskay is renowned for a shipwreck that inspired the book and film Whisky Galore.
Martin Macaulay, manager of Eriskay FC, told BBC Alba the playing surface was "well bumpy. It's just all over the place.
"One time we had five corners, now we are down to four corners."
But he added: "It is unique with its views of Eriskay. It is a nice place."

The surface of the pitch has been described as "bumpy"

The pitch has a sea view
Eriskay's other claim to fame centres on the SS Politician, which ran aground off the island on 5 February 1941.
Its cargo included more than 250,000 bottles of whisky.
Author Compton MacKenzie used the grounding of the ship as the basis of his book Whisky Galore in 1947, and an Ealing comedy followed in 1949.

Whiskey Galore was filmed on Barra, not Eriskay.

Correct, but if I may be a wee bit pedantic, the article says that the real SS Politician sank off Eriskay, which is true.

Whilst at the game on Sunday and after watching a video on here, I mentioned to my daughter about the Johnny Doyle incident in the 4-2 game and roughly pointed out the area where it occurred. It got me thinking that there are spots of the park steeped in history. Would be good if there was a site that allowed you to pick a spot on the park and see what happened there.

Nonsense or a viable thing that could be done?
