Imagine a banner like this in Scotland?

Steven Defour greeted by shocking banner on return to former club Standard Liege

THE banner that covered a whole stand in Liege's home ground featured a decapitated Defour with the words 'Red or Dead'.

A SHOCKING banner depicting the severed head of Steven Defour greeted the Anderlecht midfielder on his return to former club Standard Liege today.

The banner that covered a whole stand in Liege's home ground featured a decapitated Defour with the words 'Red or Dead' - and labelled the former player a 'traitor'.

The Belgian midfielder initially left the reds to join Porto in 2011 but returned to the Pro League at the start of this season with arch rivals Anderlecht.

Defour, 26, was sent off early in the second half of the game, which his side lost 2-0, after picking up a second booking for kicking the ball towards the Standard Liege

class banner in my opinion . and seemed to have wound up defour (ended up getting sent off for blootering the ball into the crowd)

i enjoy real football rivalries, none of this watered down lets all get along pish, its a rivalry for a reason. yes in everyday life put the rivalry aside and be civil and open. aslong as it doesn't get violent and no one is hurt , mad banners like that are all right.

whether it would be appreciated here is a different story  (whether people here can keep it peaceful over these things is the question)

Edit : it reminds me of the Shoot a zombie banner in a way.

Very true. I was watching the Ajax v Fey game yesterday. It was a classic grudge game.

It finished 0-0 but it was a great game to watch. Some good tackles flying about.

Police are investigating an alleged road rage incident in Greater Manchester involving former footballer Roy Keane.

The ex-Manchester United captain is said to have got into an altercation with a taxi driver in Altrincham.

Greater Manchester Police said officers were called at 11:30 GMT about "a report that a man had behaved aggressively towards another man".

A spokesman said police were trying "to establish the exact circumstances".

The 43-year-old, who lives in Hale, has previously managed Sunderland and Ipswich and is currently Republic of Ireland assistant manager.

Stubbs is on the Fantasy Football Club on Sky picking his best 11.
Henrik, Lubo, Di Canio, Rieper, McStay, Graveson all made it.
