I like KI but not sure he is better than Ntcham or McGregor. As others have said the money could rather be spent elsewhere.

I wouldn't put Ki in front of anyone we currently have in that area.

I’d take Ki, especially if we expect to lose Armstrong and maybe Bitton. Cracking player and would give us a different option.

That said, he wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter, so his wages might be a bit rich.

Nope.

A draw-creating specialist, and not what we need right now.

He is miles better than bitton.

Right now imo we have only four players for midfield that we can be fairly certain will be here next season. Brown, ntcham, McGregor and rogic. Any or all of Armstrong, bitton and kouassi could go this summer. If any leave I would be happy to see ki come in.

Was never convinced that he was a winner, someone who could regularly grab a team by the scruff of the neck and get them over the line.

His time at Sunderland summed him up for me - they were dead last and couldn't buy a win. He got injured with about 8 games to go. They won them all and stayed up.

I like Ki but we don't need him. Especially at the wage he is currently on.

Maybe if Cha and his scooter came back with him though.....

It was 4 wins, not 8.

You could probably say Swansea's pretty big turn around in form this year the moment he returns to action as opposed to a spell at Sunderland 4 years ago is a bit more relevant anyway.

Still wouldn't want him on the wage he'd be on.

Need keeper, a right back, two centre halves, two wingers and a striker if we're to have an impact in the Champions League.
Keeper? :ponder:
we have 3/4/5 depending on how you view Hazard/Doohan
Not a priority for me.
I don't think Gordon is very good. Bain is decent back up, but that's about it. De Vries should be punted. And two untested kids are hardly going to feature in the Champions League.
We don't get scudded in Champions League group games because our keeper isn't very good.

Gordon is fine for what we do.

Priorities lie elsewhere.

Our midfield was completely out played in several CL games the past couple of seasons, don't know how anyone can say it doesn't need urgent attention. I'd welcome the return of Ki to bring his experience and composure to the side

recognition that we could improve it is one thing - putting Ki up as the solution is another. I like him but I'm not sure I like him any better than what we have.

you'd also have to acknowledge that recruiting for other areas must take priority.

If Armstrong/Bitton/Kouassi depart then Ki would be a decent replacement. Could also add McGinn as swap for Allen+cash.
Assume Ki is out of contract and no fee payable ? His higher wages would be worthwhile if so.
I wouldn't be signing Ki just because he is available. Other areas of the team higher priority.
