Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Dembele will be away plus a few others, we might need to spend 20million just to replace them. I think we'll need 6-8 new signings this summer.
What we need and what we get will prove to be two different things. I would be astonished if we got 6/8 new players this summer. I don't think we will lose as many players as some think.
Yeah I agree. I think we'll see 3/4 signings/loans.

Think Dembele and Rogic will stay. Armstrog goes. Roberts goes. The rest to leave will be guys who haven't featured much in the first team.

Think Kouassi would be a really good player for a bottom half epl team. Has a lot of energy and is a good tackler but just dont know if he's technical enough to play cm in a team doing most of the attacking. His best game was Zenit at home and hasnt made much of an impression otherwise. He was meant to be a replacement for brown but dont think hes got the discipline to player that role.

Next season will be a big one for him
Brown is not going to be replaced. Because he can't be. As a determined defensive midfielder who gets stuck in, I'd take Shinnie. Among the weak Aberdeen core, he is the one player who tries like feck, and has a good attitude. Hard as nails and could be developed by Brendan maybe?
I’d sign Shinnie but only as Tierney’s back up.

He’s pish in midfield.

Bitton's got no interest in going anywhere else from his previous comments.

Sort Rogic first, then Edouard and build from there.
Jings, I'd forgotten all about Bitton! If he's happy to stay and 'fight for his place' (ie, accepts he's not a first pick) then we should keep. We'd be lucky to have such a good, versatile player available on those terms.
He was asked about returning home as Macabbi Something or other were linked and he says he's definitely no plans in that regard, has a contract here to 2020 and will be staying at least for that - loves his life here just now.

Probably sign for Palace in June.

We have a lot of work to do this summer but I’m sure we have been aware of this well in advance. We knew the situations with Armstrong,Roberts, Rogic & Dembele a year ago. We have tried to fix the defence on the cheap but this has clearly been a complete waste of time & we are back at square 1. Lustig also urgently needs replaced. To spend in excess of £20m this summer is hardly a big ask considering the 2 years CL money & the Virgil bonus. If Dembele & somebody else go this window it wouldn’t even be a net spend ffs. It’s not a case of spending for the sake of spending but because we really need to. We don’t need any more £1m defenders or any more young projects. Sutton is bang on when he says our recent recruitment has been very poor. We have had the time to plan in advance for this window & we have the funds to do things. The last 3 windows have been a huge disappointment & as a result no progress has been made on the park.
Yeah, no excuses, no effing about, we need to spend big and as early as possible in the window.

7 going in to the last year of their contracts, not all of them will leave but we've also got to shift Jozo and Gamboa, Dembele will be away unless a new deal is signed, from the sounds of it Roberts won't be here so I think we've a massive player turnover ahead.

The Sun have a story today about some roaster having a go at Bitton on twitter, because he congratulated Israel on winning the Eurovision, Bitton replied: “Haha shut the f*** up…I’ll be here till my last second of my contract.” So, aye, I don't think he's going anywhere.

That's the second time he's tweeted something along those lines. He should be sold before his contract runs down, like any other player (with the exception of Brown and possibly Moussa)

I trust that you are saying he should be sold because we can't allow someone to run down their contract as opposed to being upset because he told an ejeet to f.off for abusing him over Eurovision.

Is our poor success rate with transfers a symptom of the market/price range we're shopping in? Our previous managers also struggled with this.

Saw it on his instagram story last night. Some roaster in our support telling him to get out our club for congratulating Israel.

Jamie Maclaren worth a look if we're in the market for a backup striker? Boy has a real knack of finding the back of the net.

not for me - he doesn't have any outstanding attributes (pace/power/Aerial Ability) - he would get marked much tighter if he was in the hoops.

Hibs is probably around his level IMO

MacLarens header today was Henrik -esque :ph43r:

Edit: Id like to see how he'd do in a full season for hibs before a concrete move for him tbh, he does look good tbf

am I the only one who would take McGinn if Armstrong is for the off?
Nope..

I was previously not a big fan of McGinn but I think he's improved a lot this season and I would take him now .
I don't think the fees that are being quoted are far off the mark for him.

over 3 hours without a home goal

Didn't finish top scorers in the league

Least amount of home wins since the turn of the century at least

Joint 3rd smallest points total since the turn of the century

Failed to score in 8 of our games.

The overhaul most thought would come a couple of years ago needs to happen now.

I think McGinn would be great for us and would improve under rodgers, however you get tonnes of shampooe on here for suggesting such a crazy thing.

I know it won't happen but I'd be gutted if he went to the huns.
