Guy sitting next to me at the football last night (Kilmarnock game) said he is friendly with one of the physios and, the physio, told him that Christie is staying and Aberdeen and we are signing Scott McKenna (small fee plus Christie).
I just don't see it with McKenna, couldn't see him playing the way BR wants to. We've already 2 young CB's who need 2 more experienced CB's in front of them but at least it's a rumour.
McKenna might have improved this season but he still looks a run of the mill SPL centre half which is not what we need.

Hendry, Ajer, Boyata and McKenna :twitch:

That should help shore us adequately up on the back of a CL group campaign where we conceded 18 goals.

Before we go into overdrive on this McKenna thing remember it's only a vague rumour a guy heard at the football.(No disrespect to the poster. He was entitled to post it.)

Absolutely.

But the mere thought of it being true is enough to have me worried

According to my phone Celtic are keeping an eye on Peterborough striker Jack Mariott, 24 in September

27 goals in 44 games this season
In the Peterborough paper Steve Evans said that "a Scottish club" had enquired about Marriott.

I was told that we were watching him back in December (by a bloke who was watching him on behalf of another club).

The centre half area is full of ifs and buts surrounding Boyata...might well want to leave, Sviatchenko...will he be back next season, Comperr...whatever has happened with him, Sumunovic... has very much regresssd, and Hendry...signed as a centre half but has rarely featured there. That leaves Ajer, probably the only one who looks a definite starter next season. He’s done very well but is still a long way from the finished article and needs a proven performer beside him.

We need priority investment in this area to have realistic hope of getting through the CL qualifiers. We can’t continually bank on big wins at home getting us over the line in instances of nerve shredding away legs with the defence all over the place.

Old Kolo was asked on Sky Sports News if he will take Yaya to Celtic and he said 'Why not'. Wouldn't mind that for a season or two

Get Scott McKenna to France...or anywhere that isn't Celtic.

Full back needs to be a priority in the summer. We need a deputy/back-up for KT. Based on last night it's not Calvin Miller, would like to see Miller sent on loan next season. He needs regular games if he's going to improve at this level and he's not going to get them here. It's yet to be seen if Ralston will make RB his own with Lustig 2nd choice next season. If it's not Ralston, Hendry isn't the answer either - we need a fit, athletic, technically sound right-back. There's quality out there in that 4 - 7 million price bracket and we have the money - get it done.

Reports have him on 100 to 175k a week. I'm gonna predict we don't sign him.
