Bring him home.

I actually think Roberts will stay with us fwiw. Can't see Man City wanting him and he's done nowhere near enough this season for EPL teams to show interest. That leaves him with a choice of us, English Championship clubs and possibly a move abroad.

He's also not done enough to justify the fee Man City would demand for him.
Will be lower come the summer I'd imagine.
In a world where a Championship team are willing to pay 3.4 million for Grant Hanley, I wouldn't bet on it.

Dembele will be gone soon - after PSG debacle and his call ups he will never stay into next season - If ukranian is our new guy for europe so be it. We know that LG can't do that role

Two centre backs need moved on as does Erik - so at very least two in

we need cover for tierney

we need a goalie

we are awash with cash and will be even more so once dembele sold

I can't help thinking that we'll want more than just the Ukrainian guy to replace Dembele. Admittedly I haven't seen him play, but a player of Dembele's quality isn't easily replaced. Edouard doesn't look anywhere near ready to take over, so who knows if he's doing enough in training to warrant us taking up our option.

I don't mind keeping any of our centre halves in the squad, but agree that we should be bringing at least two in as we need improvements in that area.

Cover for Tierney will probably be Miller and maybe one of the new centre halves - I actually think I can live with that, especially with us moving towards playing with wing backs again.

Definitely need a goalkeeper though.

I can't see why we don't use the squad more. Guys like Kouassi, Ajer, edouard & Ntcham could really do with much more gametime.
We know the standard of Armstrong, Boyata, Jozo, McGregor etc. They can be hit & miss.

The backup guys have done very well when given the opportunity, I really hope to see them have much more games, then we can start playing them in Europe.
Kouassi, Broony & Ntcham would be a good start to making the midfield stronger.

If we experiment more domestically, then we'd see more of what we have & what we need for transfers... Edouard scoring his recent hatty being case in point.

The squad will be rotated plenty this month, we've another 7 games to go in December.

Time to be ruthless but tbh I don't think we'll see alot of change in this window.

We're needing a couple of bastards. Argentinianesque types that'll pull folks' oxter hair out at corners and give dead legs three minutes in. Got a squad of decent footballers, but bar Broony Lustig & KT, they're pussies. A cynical carrot would have sorted that Anderlecht midfield out last night - they had it far too easy.

I'm not advocating signing hammer throwers btw - there are good footballers in the world with a streak about them, and we should be looking for them.

I would like one or two players who are simply not easily bullied or intimidated by the opposition.

On the subject of the thread I'm not happy about the centre back situation. One's fragile, one's error prone and one's just not good enough.

we need a keeper, a right back, two centre halves, cover at left-back, a defensive midfielder, a creative central midfielder and two wingers (one for each side)

if we sell dembele, we'll need a striker too

i look forward to us signing a wee guy from st mirren

I know we need a biggish squad due to the sheer amount of games we play but some areas need "rationalised". Three partially effective numbers 10s (Rogic,Mcgregor, Armstrong) is three wages for one player.

Could we improve quality there, i.e. someone who can cope with the step up in Europe and have decent quality back up like Christie and Mikey Johnson learning their trade with us rather than with some negative, badger faced, arsehole up North?

Not a rumor or anything, but Ki is out of contract at Swansea in the summer

midfield 3 of Ki, Ntcham and Kouassi would be pretty decent for a fast playing high pressing midfield

Did Rodgers take him to Swansea or had he gone by then?

I haven't seen a lot of him recently but fast playing and high pressure aren't terms I'd associate with Ki. Brown's still got plenty left in him.

If he's anywhere near as good as his dad, Seydou, we should be signing him.

Well Big Pistol Pete is going to be pissing in your Christmas pudding.

We don't need anything like that and we certainly won't get anything close to it. Maybe one decent signing.

We all know every position can be improved upon.

If we sign a proper centre half, I think we'll see an immediate improvement.
