Gordon - Keep
DDV - Punt or release at end of contract
Bain - Buy
Hazard - Send on Loan

Tierney - Reject all offers for
Lustig - Keep
Gamboa - Punt
Ralston - Needs to step up
Miller - Same as Ralston

Ajer - Keep
Hendry - Keep
Simunovic - Punt
Boyata - Punt
Compper - ??
Sviatchenko - Punt

Brown - Keep
Ntcham - Keep
McGregor - Keep
Armstrong - Punt if no new contract
Rogic - Punt if no new contract
Musonda - If not contributing by early next year terminate loan if possible
Bitton - Keep
Kouassi - Keep
Christie - Give a chance
Benyu - Loan
Allan - Punt

Forrest - Keep
Sinclair - Keep until January, if same pish then punt
Hayes - Keep
Morgan - Keep

Dembele - Punt
Griffiths - Keep
Edouard - Try to sign for reasonable fee
ciftci - Punt

We need a big summer, should be the revolving door Rodgers claimed it would be in January, Need a striker to replace Dembele, a replacement for Rogic/Armstrong if we cant get them on new contracts, a complete overhaul in cb and preferably a new rb
Disagree on

Gordon - punt a huge liability at back and centre of far too many eff ups

Ralston and Miller can both go

Hendry Jozo boyata compper and Ajer can all go - collectively and individually rank for anything like the standard we aspire to
So what some of them can look ok v worst rangers team in history

Musonda waste of money
Rogic do everything to keep
Armstrong I'd keep at a push
Kouassi give till Jan

And I'd keep Scott Allan !!!

Punt Sinclair and Hayes

Agree time to cash in on dembele

Do anything to keep Edouard

Not inc dembele that should get us 20m with dembele maybe 45m

That's enough to get moving on keeper new defence and a striker

Even if we don't ship out all of above let's make new defence and keeper priority

Punt ajer and Ralston. Keep Scott allan.

Surely a wind up.

CELTIC are close to signing teenage Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster, widely regarded as one of the best young talents in English football, on loan for next season.

The 18-year-old was part of the England squad which won the Under-17 World Cup last year and even won the Golden Boot award as the tournament's top scorer.

Brewster was poached by Liverpool from Chelsea in 2015, when Rodgers was manager at Anfield, and he is viewed by many as one of the best

strikers to emerge from England in recent years.

Celtic have, under Rodgers, used the loan system to their great benefit and we understand advanced talks have taken place between both clubs about a season-long loan.

Liverpool and Brewster himself are open to the plan but there are other clubs down south which would love to have such a talent for a year, and so the deal is yet to be done.

However, sources close to Liverpool last night suggested that it was more likely than not that Brewster will move to Glasgow on a temporary basis as Jurgen Klopp believes this to be an ideal move for his player.

It certainly would be an exciting move for Celtic given what Brewster has already achieved at the very start of his career. He is lightening quick and ticks a lot of boxes in terms of what Rodgers wants to bring to Celtic.

Last season, he scored successive hat-tricks against the United States and Brazil in the quarter and semi-finals of the Under-17 World Cup. He then scored England’s opening goal in the final which his team won 5-2 against Spain.

There is every chance that either, or both, Moussa Dembele will leave and Odsonne Edouard returns to parent club Paris Saint-Germain, so a new striker would be one of the more obvious moves for Celtic to make this summer.

Brewster gained a lot of credit when he spoke openly in January about his team-mate Morgan Gibbs-White being racially abused by a Spanish player in that final.

He was first spotted at the Shield Academy in London and in an interview last year, the chief coach of the club, Dan Seymour, revealed this was a young man destine for the top.

“It wasn't long after I opened Shield that one of the players asked if he could bring a close family friend to the academy, and that was Rhian," Seymour told BBC Sport.

"He was scouted in the first two minutes of his first game after rounding the entire opposition, scoring and then grabbing the ball and putting it back on the spot.

"In the time it took that to happen, Martin Taylor, the academy scout at Chelsea, approached his dad and me, and said he wanted him immediately."

Even Celtic with our famous ability for foot-shooting, are not going to sell our entire defence. But there will almost certainly be a lot of moves. Dembele has done 2 years, he might fancy a big English move, Roberts loan is up, we're back to where we were last season with Armstrong, either he signs a long term deal or he's got to go. I don't think all the CBs will go, but at least one of Sviatchenko, Simunovic and Boyata will probably leave. Rogic is vaguely similar to Armstrong, get him to sign a good deal, or he'll need to be sold because we can't afford to have too many players running down contracts to leave for free.

It might be time for Rodgers to start building his second Celtic team unless he can convince almost all of these players to stay and wants them all to stay.

Hart was actually decent back in the Mancini days. No idea what happened to him but his form just fell off a cliff. Gordon is better now.
He bought into the hype the English media gave him. He’s still got friends looking out for him now. After City’s first on Sunday the camera went to him and Neville said Hart would have saved it, replays showed it took an massive deflection.

He’s got terrible concentration too so he’d be awful for us anyway.

Doesnt make sense for me to take 18 year old on loan for one year. Minimum would be two year or forget it. Otherwise I think we would be just training him up for Liverpool.

Anyone think Roberts is worth another punt?
Hasn't featured this season for various reasons & would cost a fair bit.
Can he play the #10 role, if Rogic is to go?

If Rogic, Armstrong & Roberts are to leave, then a #10 really rivals a RB & CB as our must buy position.

That's 3 must have replacement 1st team starters, we really seldom do that here at Celtic, hoping that conveyor belt gets lubed up...

roberts is definitely worth a punt - we know he can do it

as for our defence - we know boyata cannot do it in europe, we know that jozo disappears sometimes before the match, hendry is a country mile off it (jeez he was poor at 5-0 up on sunday) and ajer is ridiculously one footed which repeatedly gets him into bother when attempting to tackle, KT needs support and we need a replacement/back up for lustig. Oh and Gordon gives his defence and all of us the fear in europe with his passing and decision making - apart from that we are well placed for the qualifiers

our midfield and strike force should be relatively simple by comparison

Roberts and Eddie would be the two i'd 100% want signed in terms of attacking areas.

Defensively it's a whole different issue. If both Jozo and Boyata go, I'd be willing to go for Denayer as he's already shown he can play in this league comfortably and would slot in without much trouble which I think would be really useful. Yes, it's building a whole new defence, but at least he knows a few of the players, knows the club and understands the level and demand.

After that, another experienced CB would be imperative. And a good RB.

In Midfield I think we are pretty well recourced just now.

Said it yesterday, Roberts, Rogic and Eddie all signed up early doors would be ideal and then all eyes should then be on the defensive rebuild. KT and Ajer should be the only two defenders currently at the club to remain here after summer IMO.

Roberts will always be worth a punt. He's a brilliant talent.

I would be surprised if he wanted to sign, though. At his age he needs regular game-time if he's to reach his potential and he isn't getting that here.

A keeper and a right back that are both ready to walk right into the starting 11 are absolute necessities in the summer.

He'll get it if Sinclair is for the off.

EDIT: We should be using the success of Moussa, Eddie and Ntcham to tap into more French players. Then we can have a French day and take ownership of Red, White and Blue, leading to more Hun meltdown

I really want us to be very pro-active, doing our work quickly. The talk of conveyor belts in January wasn't met, so I hope we've used that 6 months to really think about things.
Jozo & Sinclair have dropped off significantly in terms of appearances, especially as both are fit - I'd really expect us to be working behind the scenes to have them gone & replaced quickly - not easy though.

Gamboa is another, but he's never really played anyway (as with Compper...)

Defence is our priority as far as I can see in Europe, CL qualification is a must. 2 previous CL cheques cashed & VVD money + whatever we get from sales (Armstrong, Moussa, Rogic, Jozo, Boyata, Sinclair).

Maybe it'll actually be a conveyor belt this time, I just hope it doesn't eff up CL qualifiers.

I saw a tweet the other day from some french sports journo suggesting Celtic as a great place for French talent to develop. I'm sure the scouts will have a few targets in mind.

At this point I'd happily punt Sinclair and use his salary to fund Rogic and a deal for Paddy.

Don’t know if this is where I should post this but I got onto my flight from Edinburgh to Oslo yesterday and Tosh Mckinley was sitting at the front of the plane. He works as a scout for us- there is only one game happening in Norway yesterday/rest of the week which was Stabæk V Lillestrøm. I don’t know if any of their players are on our level, but it would be the only reason he would be in Norway I would imagine.

Think stabaek's actually got a couple of highly rated young players. Definitely heard Vetlesen and Brynhildsen being mentioned as up an comers, and Hou Saether was a big prospect for rosenberg for a while (guess it didn't work out there for him though Rosenberg's midfield is pretty crowded).
