Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
If we do have a target to replace CG then its quite possible they wouldn't be available in January - Bain is definitely a stop-gap but hopefully we get a keeper who can replace him in summer.
I hope so. I expect it'll still be Gordon though
Mignolet mentioned in the paper today
Set to leave Liverpool at season end
Rodgers might be able to convince him to come
Not sure what the wages would though, astronomical surely?

Surely Gordon is done now?

on top of all the obvious places that need filled ( centre-half, right back, cover left back etc) , we really could do with more defensively minded wide midfielders, especially for Europe. If we could get todays version of Didier Agathe and Alan Thomson, that would be nice.

feel like mignolet wages would make it a non runner but would be an interesting target for sure. Brendan did bring him to Liverpool. maybe at this stage guaranteed first team football plus European football would be something he would want for a year or two as opposed to going to a lower level prem team

On the subject of Liverpool goalies I’m surprised we’ve never been interested in Danny Ward. He looked great when he was at the sheep and was Huddersfield’s number 1 last season who got promoted. The thing with our current keepers is that they aren’t getting any younger. We need a young fresher goalie imo and Ward fits the bill.

Not great with the ball at his feet iirc but definitely a very good shot stopper. More realistic than 60k a week Mignolet

Brendan wanted to sign Ward when he first came here, but Ward opted for a new Liverpool contract and was sent out on loan to Huddersfield

My guess is that Brendan is monitoring Wards situation and is ready to make an offer if he becomes available at our price range, unless Hazard shows so much promise that BR decides that Hazard is close enough to push on and take over the nr 1 keeper spot in the next 1-2 years

Mignolet is an absolute bombscare. Even the thought of him playing for us gives me the fear.

Thompson was a great player indeed. Todays equivalent would cost about 20 million.

Kouassi did well in a wide-ish role against Zenit, the problem is we've probably too many MF's atm.

Thommo was a great player for us, and hard as nails, but Lambert and Lennon covered for his lack of pace/flat footedness. We've not really got anyone like that at the moment.

Agathe though... You'd leather your granny for a player like him at the moment.

Hearts are planning a move for Irish schoolboy sensation Bobby Burns. The 18-year-old Glenavon star is regarded as one of Northern Ireland football's brightest talents and last month made his Under-21 debut at left-back against Iceland. (Daily Record)

Back up for KT ? . Anybody know where his loyalties lie ?

Robert Burns.
