Holloway making a bit of a knob of himself there tbh. You reckon? He emphasises the arrangement is only a loan, that player is in his plans at QPR so is not for for sale; he rebukes Murty for his improper conduct, then pats him on the head with a 'good guy' platitude. The guy covers all the bases there, even if you can't help reading it that comedy Yokel accent of his.

Think he's being quite clear actually.
Being direct to save wasted breath on 150 questions a week on the lads future from Scotland when everybody knows he won't be there in June. Bar the Scottish press that is.
He's POTY don't you know.

Dundee have banned the Record.

Upon seeing this morning’s Daily Record front page the club were shocked to see an incredibly damaging and misleading headline regarding the Financial Statements for the year ending May 2017 which were released yesterday.
To claim the club are “on the brink” is completely untrue and a bizarre spin on the statement released along with the accounts.
The Board of Directors would like to reaffirm their commitment to the club which was highlighted in yesterday’s statement.
We would also like to put on record that due to this ridiculous front page claim we will no longer welcome any reporters from the Daily Record or their sister publications to Dens Park for press conferences or to report on matches.
It was a ridiculous take by the Record to say that Dundee are "on the brink" from losing 350,000 a year, when they just sold Jack Hendry for >1,000,000.
I wonder if that coverage had anything to do with it being (Dundee United fan) Murray Foote's last day as Record editor yesterday.

Good on them.
Amazing how the bastion of integrity that is the Record can ignore the financial shenanigans at Ibrox yet are happy to put the boot into another club at the first opportunity.

Good on them , pity Celtic FC can't do the same !
They didn't put the same interpretation on Sevco's perilous state either - Eff Them , sooner they're gone the better !

So will Rangers sit back and keep things tight? Or should they be going for the jugular as they are on the crest of a wave? The fairytale days of Mark Warburton and the Portuguese pied piper are over. No bull or caravans or Vegas, Murty acknowledges Rangers still have it all to do and he is right.
It's the first real Celtic and Rangers clash in years and I can't wait to see if Ibrox men have the bottle - Sutton Graeme Murty's men can close to within three points of their rivals next week - but can they handle the heat?
Spoiler: click to toggle ByChris Sutton Celtic fans haven’t looked over their shoulders at Rangers for years because their rivals have been more like The Dog & Duck. But now? They can’t afford not to take them seriously. Both sides are in Scottish Cup action this weekend and are expected to progress to the last four as they take on Championship opponents. Everyone, though, is counting down to the derby meeting at Ibrox a week tomorrow where we can expect to learn so much. Don’t get me wrong, if I was a Celtic player I would be sitting waiting for this game and saying to myself “bring it on”. In previous seasons Celtic have been totally dismissive of Rangers. They will be more focused on the job in hand at Ibrox now. It’s not like previous fixtures where you can’t give Rangers a chance. Would Celtic have doubts about themselves if Gers beat them? Possibly. However, on the flip side the Hoops have the opportunity to really flex their muscles and lay down a marker at the home of their fiercest rivals. Brendan Rodgers and his players can fire a shot across Rangers’ bows just to remind them of how far they still have to go to catch the No.1 club in Scotland. For years this fixture has been a formality and it’s a credit to Graeme Murty that’s no longer the case, as well as the fact he has drawn twice at Parkhead. They should have beaten Celtic in the last meeting at Parkhead and I don’t think the champions took them seriously in that scoreless draw. But if I was a current Hoops player I’d be taking them seriously now. I would be looking and thinking, “Blimey, we need to sort ourselves out and put Rangers in their place.” Let’s not forget that for all the talk of a Gers revival the Parkhead side could still wallop them. But I can’t honestly say, hand on heart, I think Celtic will wipe the floor with Rangers. There’s added pressure on both managers. Everyone is talking the Ibrox side up but will Murty be brave at home and take the game to their rivals? Is it the right thing to go toe to toe? Murty has a conundrum in that respect. Derek McInnes was rightly criticised for his negative approach at Pittodrie last week when Aberdeen lost 2-0 to Celtic. So will Rangers sit back and keep things tight? Or should they be going for the jugular as they are on the crest of a wave? Celtic have more of a vulnerability about them domestically this season – it was always going to be hard to maintain the standard they set last term – and Rangers are showing signs of improvement. But Rangers have to do it over a longer period and Murty has said the same thing. It wasn’t so long ago Hibs beat Rangers at Ibrox but there’s no doubt they seem to be a club moving in the right direction. Rangers were so bad last season and it would have been hard for them to be as bad again this campaign in terms of their points tally. So there’s more of a contest and it’s good for Scottish football. That’s the reason I came north of the border when I signed for Celtic – because it was competitive with two teams going toe to toe. We want that back. Rangers have put themselves under pressure ahead of the derby and a good result – win or draw – and performance against Celtic will see them praised for closing the gap. Murty’s done a good job and while expectations have been lowered at Rangers he’s certainly raising the standard. You have to look at who he took over from – a fantasist in Pedro Caixinha – but they’ve had a good January transfer window and look a different team. Jamie Murphy was a good signing and Russell Martin, a player I know well from his Norwich days, is a steady Eddie who has been there, seen it and done it. They’ve got strength in depth. Greg Docherty looks a decent signing, Sean Goss is a good technician and Alfredo Morelos looks lean and mean and has impressed me despite being a hothead. If you’re a Celtic fan you would recognise Rangers have improved and the Hoops have to concentrate and do the business. They’ll be far more respectful of the threat from Rangers and the fact they have emerged stronger from the transfer window. Celtic finished 39 points ahead of Rangers last season because of how bad their rivals were. There was a lot of instability and also Caixinha shouting his mouth off that they were going to do this and that. Murty has played a blinder in terms of the way he’s spoken. He’s been respectful and said last week Rangers need to be ready to pounce if Celtic slip up – and they have slipped up a few times this season. It was always going to be hard for Celtic to maintain the standards of last term but they’ve dropped far too many points. Rangers have improved under Murty and they seem to be a more stable club moving in the right direction in comparison to last season when they were rudderless. You still worry about Celtic defensively. They haven’t looked solid all season but now they don’t have Europe to concentrate on they need to really put the foot down and exert total control to finish the campaign strongly. This looks to me like the most intriguing derby match there will be in years. The truth is we will learn so much from the outcome. Will Rangers show they are going to mount a challenge or are Brendan’s boys going to put the Ibrox side back in their place? I’d still go for the latter but I’m not as convinced as usual and that’s down to the stability and calmness rookie Murty has instilled at Rangers. The fairytale days of Mark Warburton and the Portuguese pied piper are over. No bull or caravans or Vegas, Murty acknowledges Rangers still have it all to do and he is right. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/its-first-real-celtic-rangers-12117429
