Bankier sitting down to Burns Supper with Theresa May at Downing Street and other Tory Glitterati ! WTF? Spoiler: click to toggle Such A Parcel Of Rogues In A Nation
1791 Type: Poem
Fareweel to a' our Scottish fame, Fareweel our ancient glory; Fareweel ev'n to the Scottish name, Sae fam'd in martial story. Now Sark rins over Solway sands, An' Tweed rins to the ocean, To mark where England's province stands- Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!
What force or guile could not subdue, Thro' many warlike ages, Is wrought now by a coward few, For hireling traitor's wages. The English stell we could disdain, Secure in valour's station; But English gold has been our bane- Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!
O would, or I had seen the day That Treason thus could sell us, My auld grey head had lien in clay, Wi' Bruce and loyal Wallace! But pith and power, till my last hour, I'll mak this declaration; We're bought and sold for English gold- Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!
Read that today on Twitter, carrot needs hunted from our club. I wouldn't worry too much, probably can't even remember what the name of the team is

Commons is absolutely entitled to his opinion. However he should have made enough money from the game and us in particular, that he shouldn’t have to chase money, unlike some players from previous eras. In terms of his punditry he comes across as pretty nervous and almost tongue tied. Like many he never really says anything fresh or insightful, so he will probably have a gig for life
It’s not about money ITs about him. Absolutely loves himself and being on TV must be right up his street. I will always have lots of sympathy for him & his Mrs. in regards to his losing a child (horrific for them) but professionaly speaking he looks nervous on TV & needs to learn have something to say that means something and respect the supporters & club who gave you the best years of your career- us.
TV does not look a good fit for him.

TV does not look a good fit for him. That clown Savage is a role model for all of these wannabes. If he can make a media career, along with many others that people moan about here in the various Scottish based-circuit, it's quite clear that being articulate and informed are not required characteristics.

The biggest problem for me with Commons as a pundit and analyst is not really anything to do with his views on Celtic.
It's more the fact that he is just not very good at it. Often trips over his words, can't get the right words out and is prone to pretty embarrassing pauses. He's also as pliable a pundit as you'll see. If Boyd asserts an opinion in analysis of something, Commons will go along with it, whether it is valid or not.
The worst one was our 0-2 win at Ibrox earlier this season when Lovenkrands was basically crying in the studio telling us how good Sevco were. Commons just sat there agreeing with the majority of it, despite what we had all watched with our own eyes.
Then to basically come up with no alternatives for Scotland manager when you are on a show discussing the SFA's failure to appoint their top target? A lot of thought and preparation must have gone into that beforehand eh?
Clearly people can get better at a particular job, but Commons has made as inauspicious a start as any, include Barry 8.

As I say, people can grow into a job, but Commons has been chronic to listen to.

Off work with the lurgy means I’ve had access to telly & radio. BBC Scotland radio and TV throughout the day have referred to tonight’s game as a “Scottish Cup 5th Round Tie”. Apart from Reporting Scotland right now, that is: they didn’t refer to it at all. Meanwhile on Scotland Today, the huns one-time ”official broadcast partner” news programme devoted thd bulk of it’s sports presentation to promoting McLeish for the Scotland job and giving that wafffling boy scout Murty airtime to gibber about McLeish for Scotland and the hostile reception McInnes can expect tomorrow. Guaranteed STV tomorrow will focus on the penalty for 10 seconds and two minutes on the biggest game in Scotland .

Celtic placed at 203 in the world for players wages. EDIT: Just noticed this is from November 2017.
Celtic and Rangers weekly wages revealed as Hoops pay stars more than DOUBLE city rivals The Parkhead side's financial stronghold over the domestic game is laid bare in a new study of Scotland's top flight clubs.
Spoiler: click to toggle ByLiam Bryce Celtic's average weekly wage is more than double that of Rangers and five times higher than Aberdeen's - according to a new study. The Global Salaries Survey, conducted by Sporting Intelligence, reveals the key figures from inside Scottish Premiership clubs for 2017. And, as expected, the Treble winners lead the way in paying their stars an average of £14,135, while annual wage expenditure clocks in at £735,040. The research shows the Hoops are the 203rd highest paying sports team in the world. Profits of doom or boom? How Premiership clubs' finances look in the AGM season The Parkhead side are way out in front of city rivals Rangers with Ibrox stars taking home £6,338 per week on average. The typical yearly wage spend at the club hits £329,600. The financial gulf facing Aberdeen, the top flight's second force in recent years, is laid bare as their £2,623 average pay is trumped five times over by the Hoops. The yearly sum paid out to Pittodrie players racks up at £136,382. Edinburgh rivals Hearts and Hibs clock in at £1,837 and £1,675 each year respectively, with a substantial gap between them and the next club down the wage ladder - Dundee at £1,152 per week. Hamilton Accies were revealed as the lowest paying side in the division at just £798-a-week on average, while the magnitude of Motherwell's improvement this term is demonstrated in their meagre £820 weekly wage. Aberdeen are the third highest paying side in the league Full wage list for Scottish Premiership clubs World ranking / Avg annual pay £ / Avg weekly pay £203 - Celtic - £735,040 / £14,135 256 - Rangers - £329,600 / £6,338 313 - Aberdeen - £136,382 / £2,623 316 - Hearts - £95,514 / £1,837 318 - Hibs - £87,100 / £1,675 334 - Dundee - £59,904 / £1,152 337 - Partick Thistle - £58,175 / £1,119 338 - Ross County - £56,394 / £1,085 341 - Kilmarnock - £55,100 / £1,060 346 - St Johnstone - £47,992 / £923 347 - Motherwell - £42,662 / £820 348 - Hamilton - £41,488 / £798 The study also offers an insight into the eye-watering sums being paid to athletes in the world's top sports teams. While we often gasp - and sometimes despair - at the money thrown around in the beautiful game these days, the international money-list is dominated by basketball teams from the NBA. Barcelona are the top football side on the list, clocking in at fourth - ahead of Paris Saint Germain and rivals Real Madrid. Basketball superstars Oklahoma City Thunder top the standings, paying their top stars an average of £137,507-a-week. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-rangers-weekly-wages-revealed-11596087

Him & Boyd in a sky studio is chronic Incoherent mumbling most of the time with no useful analysis.... Dumb & dumber
However incredible it may seem the problem for Commons is that Boyd is actually made to sound coherent at times in comparison. As I say, people can grow into a job, but Commons has been chronic to listen to. They're both articulate compared to the intellectual behemoth Derek Ferguson. Speaks like he's just discovered language.

TV does not look a good fit for him. neither is a size 32

Celtic placed at 203 in the world for players wages. EDIT: Just noticed this is from November 2017. Celtic and Rangers weekly wages revealed as Hoops pay stars more than DOUBLE city rivalsThe Parkhead side's financial stronghold over the domestic game is laid bare in a new study of Scotland's top flight clubs. Basketball superstars Oklahoma City Thunder top the standings, paying their top stars an average of £137,507-a-week. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-rangers-weekly-wages-revealed-11596087 Don't know why they bother with stuff like this as money makes no difference.
