Hasn't Bill Leckie written the same article about "Teh Old Firmz" every single year for the past 15 years? He always puts up this "oh, the game was so bad, everyone was crap, why do both sets of fans care, oh it's just all so beneath me" bullshampoo every single time he writes about the games. I hope someone drops a cobra into his toilet.

There are people calling this clown a Celtic legend on social media ffs. To be fair, there's probably still people saying he could do a job for us on social media
The top comment under the Celtic FB post for the huns game was somebody saying to get Lenny back

Good article by Sutton and bang on the money as usual. He's a big egotistical, drama queen at times but he knows the game and is very perceptive. How on earth can Armstrong come out with guff about tiredness? Sutton is also right about Dembele and Griffiths, the inconsistent teams Brendan is putting out are having as much affect on the players as the number of games. As for some of our fans having a moan......it's football, it's what supporters do and it comes with the territory so people should man up and dry their eyes.

Ah, memories. Makes you miss mad Pedro.
Barking dogs, genetics, concomitant risk and bizarre Clyde Tunnel tales - Scottish football's crazy quotes of 2017 Record Sport Online looks back at some of the rants, ramblings and incomprehensible utterances from the year just passed.
If there's one thing Scottish football does really well, it's being completely bonkers. From Rangers having three managers in a year, to Celtic falling apart at Tynecastle and getting beat 4-0 after battering every team in the country for the previous 18 months, to Pedro Caixinha and Gordon Strachan having a battle for the most bizarre quote going.
Caixinha probably wins that one on the basis he hit out with a crazy utterance at least once a week but wee Strachan cartainly kept his best for the big ocassion. Here, Record Sport Online takes a look back at some of the good, the bad and the downright baffling quotes from 2017.
Spoiler: click to toggle Rangers' tongue twister following Warbs shock Ibrox exit ... "The representative acting for the management team subsequently attempted to alter the terms of what had been agreed in favour of the management team. A further board meeting was held this afternoon to discuss this and it was decided not to agree to this additional request but to hold with the original agreement. "Mr Warburton, Mr Weir, and Mr McParland have therefore been notified in writing that their notices of termination have been accepted." Warburton's take on the end of his Rangers career ... "It is important that we should clarify certain matters and as such we would like to formally place on record, that at no stage did we resign from our positions at Rangers." Brendan Rodgers on his bizarre welcome to Glasgow ... “I remember sitting in a bit of traffic in the Clyde Tunnel. There was an incident which meant all the cars were stopped. “I saw this guy coming out of his car in a blue top and I thought, ‘Here we go’. “But he said, ‘I just wanted to say thank you for coming up to Scottish football. I’m a Rangers supporter but you’re a breath of fresh air up here’. Ian Cathro on Hearts 5-0 defeat by Celtic ... “Take away the goalposts and we are able to compete." Brendan Rodgers on Celtic's historic season ... "There is a whole load for us still to do. That’s the exciting part - because we have only just started.” Dundee's Paul McGowan tells it as it is ... "We embarrassed ourselves, the club and the fans. There is one for it: S***e" Brendan Rodgers on winning the treble ... "I was born into Celtic. It’s a huge privilege to manage this club. I was born into it and we have created something which hopefully allows us to build on this. To do what we did this season is spectacular." Pedro Caixinha on joining Rangers ... “It is a great honour to join Rangers Football Club. "This club has a great history and tradition and I am proud to follow in the footsteps of legendary Rangers managers like Walter Smith, Graeme Souness and Jock Wallace. “Rangers is a name that is known worldwide and I am looking forward to forging a positive relationship with supporters and meeting the playing squad and staff at the club." Pedro Caixinha on the squad he inherited ... "This is the squad we have for now and we really trust the players we have right now. For us, this is the best squad in Scotland. Pedro Caixinha goes for a cycle ... "What I know is that football is about cycles. I know that Derek has been doing a great job, a fantastic job, but I know that moments and cycles work like that. "I do believe that they've had a fantastic cycle in the last three or four years and they need to renew it. That's what I understand looking at it from outside. "We are starting our cycle so we are going to be up and up and up. That's the way the teams behave and organise themselves and it's our job to know when one cycle is about to come down and we do the planning in order to prevent that. "That's what I read from outside with Aberdeen." Derek McInnes hits back at Pedro ... "I find it strange that the Rangers manager feels the need to talk about other clubs so much. "If he thinks that doing brilliant at Rangers is by finishing ahead of Aberdeen then he is clearly mistaken. "His job as Rangers manager is to finish above Celtic and he should be more concerned by that challenge. He shouldn't be talking about our players but each to their own. "Any team that finishes above Rangers in the league, with the budget they have, is doing their work well. "They should probably be embarrassed that they've not finished second." Gordon Strachan's genetics rant ... "Genetically, we're behind. The last campaign we were the second smallest, apart from Spain, so that means we had to pick a team tonight to try and combat the height and strength. Even at that we couldn't combat their height and strength at set plays. "Genetically, we have to work at things. Don't know if we can get big women and men together, and see what we can do. It is a problem for us because we have to fight harder for every ball and jump higher. Nobody tell me their technique apart from one player is better than any of ours but physically we have a problem. Leigh Griffiths on Joe Hart after his free kicks stunners against England ... "I’ve ruined him!" Pedro Caixinha after defeat to Progres Niederkorn ... "I'm always a positive guy, I never give up. It's a strong moment that we are living and we need to face it, we need all our character, personality and strength. "I believe in this process, I believe in the players and the work we are going to do. "It's a strong lesson that we need to learn from now on, and we need to focus on the positives regarding the future. We need to keep working harder and looking forward." Brendan Rodgers on young players in Scotland ... “You have to be careful with young players. "I say to the young players here, it’s very easy to walk around with the Louis Vuitton soap bag. But when you walk out of here, don’t tell people you play for Celtic. No, you are only training with Celtic. You are playing for Celtic when you are in the first team. Lots of young players these days look good, they smell nice, but they don’t put the work in. They don’t play. It’s about working to play for the first team." Pedro Caixinha's all-time classic ... "The dogs bark but the caravan keeps moving" Pedro Caixinha turns all Dracula ... “The vampires taste the flavour of the blood and they want more, they need it. “It’s the same with the competitive teams and clubs, competitive players and competitive managers. They like the way the blood tastes." Pedro Caixinha on lad's holidays ... "Have you ever been in Las Vegas? What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas" Rangers on Derek McInnes turning down Ibrox job "We endorse that position because moving to a massive club like Rangers is a big step with concomitant risk." Hamilton Accies on Killie postponement "We have been ultimately swept away by nature." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/barking-dogs-genetics-concomitant-risk-11763651
