I see Charlie Nic is calling BR and his Celtic team on integrity via his column in the Express. Self awareness has never been one of Charlie’s strong suits, but even for him that’s weapon grade stupidity.
From being adored to being abhorred. Wink
Was my hero as a youngster, i find it hard to muster any hatred for him.
No need for hatred, mhate, contempt will do just fine.

The first domestic penalties we've had this season, IIRC, seem to have put a fair few noses out of joint.

No time for guys like him. His own career flunked due to his poor choices and I doubt he has ever coached as much as boys club since he retired from playing. Should have been an all time great. Waste of talent. Poor type of guy to give advice or criticism.
Yet we all do it with not many of us kicked a ball at any decent level.

There were more than enough people on here seemingly getting het up at us getting a penalty on Sunday (strange days indeed) for his criticism to resonate with some folk.

He's entitled to his opinion, even it is a load of bollocks.
Charlie is better placed than most of us to have seen the injustices we've faced over the years. We'd have to receive 2 dodgy decisions in every game for the next 5 years just to make up for half of it and for Charlie to jump right out there to put the boot in is just galling and hugely disappointing from a Glasgow Bhoy who knew the script.

Is Michael Stewart's "Agenda" with Hearts not that he's a Hearts fan and Craig Levein is doing a pretty good job of ballsing it up playing horrible football/appointing the car crash that was Cathro while escaping unscathed from the fall out?
I can look past the failure to capitalise on his great talent, I was never a footballer but effed up a good few things in my youth. Charlie’s problem is he’s thick as pigshampoo but thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room, if he played for the Huns he’d get away with his patter (see McCoist. A), but most supports in the world would see through his shampooe.
Yes, but what about Michael Stewart?

He’s just another Uncle Tim, betraying his heritage to keep onside with his media masters. Craven soup taker.

Michael Stewart, on the other hand, comes out of that story about Levine thoroughly cool and level headed.

Everycant effin hates us, it’s glorious hahahaha
The others have made their choices, they promote skullduggery in their support of Murray's cheating years.

They've always hated us in any case, I think you have to revel in it as opposed to the "No one likes us, we're permanently offended by that" hilarity from over by.

For what it’s worth I don’t mind Michael Stewart, he talks shampooe at times but so do I, so fairs fair. I think he tries to be fairly honest in his summaries and doesn’t seem in the least bit scared of the Huns.

I have to respect Charlie Nicholas' views. He often sits down to reflect and ponder before he offers expert analysis.

Aye, I get that, and it was also pretty badly timed with other commentators changing their minds about the second decision at least.

Sutton gets to the nub of the issue (even if he went way overboard on Sunday). If it's that big a deal for Motherwell, never mind 'demanding answers' and all that nonsense, there's an appeals process to get the red card rescinded. They start from there and maybe it would address some of their concerns.

For me, both refs got the decisions right. So it's interesting that there's such a furore over it and it's been open season on refs, who, when they went on strike (over a decision that they got wrong and Celtic mentioned it, only for them to lie about it), we were told there was no game without them, it was a hard job, they were fair and honest guys.

You'd think that having taken all this flak and being proved to have been right, there would be a raft of apologies and everyone sticking up for them.

It's almost as if... Celtic benefited from a correct decision. (Faints)

He's always been a dick, let's be honest here. His article slating Lenny's ability and time at Celtic as he prepared to lead us into our last 16 tie in Milan was something else, and timed for effect.

Dropped for Perry Groves remember.

And he realises he's got a job to entertain listeners or viewers, even 'The Saviour' Thompson alongside him gets that. Beats Pat Nevin and his ethereal waffle.

Stewart makes his points well and they're often decent. It will probably go downhill at some stage but I still enjoy listening to him above most any of the others.

Here's the thing with Charlie Nicholas.

He wants to have a go at us then fine. He's entitled to his opinion. But what get me about Charlie is this. If we'd gone season after season without winning the league, do you think he would slow in calling for heads to be dismissed in the dugout or boardroom ? We all know the answer to that one.

So given his love for Arsenal, he's been demanding Wenger's sacking or Kroenke to sell up, right ? Wrong. He did call them broken at the end of last season after they never made it into the CL, but no Wenger's time's up or Kroenke has to get them challenging or pass the club on.

If you want to be controversial, then at least be consistent. Charlie's scared about having his welcome passes withdrawn at the Emirates. Thats why his writing and comments about Celtic get up my nose.

I think there's a problem between Lawwell and Nicholas, pallywise, and I'm just sitting here thinking that he ( Charlie) has taken every opportunity to kick Celtic televisionandnewspaperwise over the last while. He needs his baws toed. He was my hero , now he's a dick.

Good points. Nicholas will demand Arsenal players are dropped weekly and it's just as you say, because he will not take aim higher and blame those responsible.

He's had countless digs at Brown over the years too, Brown put him in his place back when we won 1IAR

He’s got a wee earring.

“He sits back and drinks bottles of champagne.

“It’s just him chirping up, just saying anything really. He wants to say anything so people can see he is still involved in the game. He knows what the pressure is like and how much pressure is on the gaffer. He knows we have not won the league in four years and, at the end of the day, it would be great to bring it home and Charlie’s not welcome to the party.”
