ANDERLECHT LEGEND Paul van Himst has led an astonishing attack on Celtic ahead of the crunch Euro tie next week at Celtic Park.

Celtic who absolutely destroyed Anderlecht on their own turf earlier this year have been branded as ‘peasants’ by the club legend and inferred it was embarrassing that Celtic beat Anderlecht.

Van Himst said: “We should never have allowed ourselves to lose to a team of peasants like Celtic.

“They were a bunch of woodcutters. It was one of our worst matches ever in Europe, and we didn’t even muster an attack.

“Under Rene Weiler we just went backwards.

“Hein Vanhaezebrouck is not doing anything special. He does some good things, but you can’t say it is anything out of the ordinary.”
Who?

Match report for Sevco in the Herald 35 minutes ago. "Rangers superb" etc.. No Celtic report up as yet.

Oh, and the paywall is down for that article so everyone can read it and get in a positive mood for the AGM.

Hurting Sevcoite covered in claret and amber.

She is good enough for both clubs...

"You try to teach your children not to cheat...." was Dickens esque..then I read she was lasleys wife.

Come on guys, lay off the guys wife. I would have thought that people were better than having a go at the guys family.

She was obviously upset at the loss but to be calling her a hun etc is way below the belt because she dared to stick up for her husband.

Let's just leave it at that

effing hell

What an absolute winker.
Has he ever been in Anderlecht’s tiny stadium? A shampoohole.

If any Anderlecht player earns more than Celtic’s top earner, then, I’d be very surprised.

A team whose only European glory era, came in a time when they got caught bribing referees. Obviously, there’s an early onset of some degenerative disease, so I’ll pass on giving my opinion on this one.

Edit - he was the cheats manager the one time they got caught bribing officials. He is a man of integrity, cos you only bribe the once.

Another edit: I want to kick this guy in the penis

Paul Van Himst (born 2 October 1943) is a retired Belgian football forward and a football manager. He comes from a family of peasants. Now retired, he still supports R.S.C. Anderlecht, his former team. He was nicknamed Polle Gazon (Polle is Paul in Brussels dialect, and Gazon means lawn in Dutch and French) due to the large number of fouls committed on him. In 1964, he played in the Belgium-Netherlands match alongside 10 Anderlecht players after the substitution of goalkeeper Delhasse by Jean Trappeniers.

These things even themselves out over the course of a season etc etc.

It was a effin penalty. If Motherwell don't get to many finals, that's their effing fault.

They're a shower of hacking carrots and the final was only going one way anyway. It's not even a turning point, when we're already winning.

Whinging bawsacks.
I fall into "raging if at had been at the other end" category.

But, Kipre and McHugh should both have been sent off, so the bad decisions were hardly one-sided.
Aye, I'd have been a bit pissed off about it.

I'd then have watched the highlights and heard all the pundits saying the defender gave the ref a decision to make and that these things even themselves out over the course of the season.

As this pish rolls on for half a week, I tempted to remember all those incorrect decisions (not 'soft' decisions) that have done us out of titles, cups, doubles, trebles and European competitions, never mind the fact that industrial cheating has not only been tolerated but we've been told to just get on with it, because we're all a wee bit tapped in the head.

eff Motherwell and all who sail in her pishy wee dinghy.

I just remind them of all the times we have been told, after an honest mistake, that decisions like these even out over the course of a season. Given the tackling of these hammer-throwers, I'll be looking for a couple more penalties on Saturday.

He was best known for having a small role in classic soccer-prison camp caper "Escape to Victory".

Think he played for Anderlecht too.
