I think the Spiers article is a few days old now. I usually have time for his opinion pieces and he is typically more critical of the new Rangers than most, but I'm staggered that he finds it "inconceivable" that McLennan can be impartial, while in the very next paragraph he states that he "doesn't know" if EBT recipient Ogilvie or Gordon Smith were impartial.

Then he concludes that McLennan "needs to come out" and defend himself. In other words, he's guilty until proven innocent.

If everyone in Scottish football had to come out and defend themselves from the bonkers statements released by Dave King then nobody would ever get anything else done.

Huns have a real habit of coming out and accusing others of exactly what they are guilty of themselves safe in the knowledge that their press puppets will not highlight it.

Gaslighting I believe it is called.

It's pretty incredible when you, take a moment to think about it. Spier's was like this during the Dougie McDonald saga, no ref could be duplicitous, just in the same light as Ogilivie & Smith. All good guys. He believes that shampoo.

The Premier League is going to announce who had won the two remaining packages. BT has won one and a “new player” has won one.

assuming its the one down south that would fit with sky's most recent stated strategy to reduce its football content for a more netflix type existence

I think we should just bask in the beauty that is today's Scottish football. We as a club are miles bigger than the media and SPFL. We have overseen as a people the whole corrupt organisations into impartiality. The idiots at Rangers can't handle that everything is not tipped towards them anymore and are lashing out Like David Haye trying to hold onto his career in the ring.

Is anyone watching this BBC "documentary" about the 1978 global embarassment that is Ally MacLeod and his World Cup team that reached new heights in shaming Scotland?

Eff off shaming Scotland

That was a great team, with great players. I was 12 at the time, it was a brilliant thing that Scotland could 'win' the World Cup. I even entered that Blue Peter competition, to design a good luck mascot!!!

To think that a Scottish national team can come no where near qualifying now.

Even in shaming Scotland they picked up 4 points and were a goal away from qualifying for the next stage.

3 points. 'Twas two points for a win in the old days ;)

Also sure they were two goals off going through.

Scotland had to beat Holland by 3 clear goals - at 3 - 1 they were, technically, 1 goal from gong through

4-1 would have seen Scotland through.

4-1 would have put them through, aye.

But it ended up 3-2 so in the end up they were more than a goal away from going through
